I mean, all I'm saying is that if I was a scumbag lawyer with a shit client the only strategy I could come up with to make this problem go away for my clients would be to bleed the opposition dry, because I know that my rates are sub-prime compared to the opponents lawyers. Make them go through every ring of civil law hell. It would both give my clients the highest percentage chance of winning (forcing the opposition to bow out) while simultaneously jerking off my clients for every last cent they're worth.

Or, you know, a check bounced and the lawyer didn't give enough of a shit to file on time. I mean, who the fuck knows at this point.
Still, there were plenty of things to try first. Filings for extension, TCPA, ... you don't just default. That's ... incredibly dumb.
what does Default mean though, that they have to go when ty says? or that the judge has a default date for it?
Basically if the defendant doesn't file any response prior to the deadline, the complainant can file for a default judgement. This means that the court has to make a judgement based only on the evidence and claims which were made in the initial complaint. If the complainant had any case at all, and the defendant didn't even bother to provide any contrary evidence or arguments, then the complainant wins by default.
I don't think a default would keep them out of being deposed/testifying, so it'd be the worst of all worlds.
Yeah... they would likely still be deposed as witnesses in the case against FUNimation and Jamie Marchi.
There's apparently some loophole that technically gives them until midnight. Keep watching.
It looks like there's precedent, but it's rather interesting.
It looks like there has to be a good reason; the apparent reasoning was "a lack of willfulness by the defendant, a lack of prejudice to the plaintiff, and meritorious defenses."

Would they be so generous to a defendant who has been pulling obvious shenanigans trying to block the plaintiff's discovery process? I guess there's only one way to find out, and that is wait...

I think it's pointless to keep speculating about ANN being dragged to Texas right now. We've not even seen the discovery and depositions for round 1 yet, who knows what juicy stuff involving ANN will come to light during all that.

They could be trying to bleed Vic dry, I know the average going rate at BHBH is $400 an hour. But it seems dumb to try and bleed some one out if they've already got 150k+ sitting in a warchest, that doesn't even factor in Nick's mysterious private donation and however much that was.

I'm calling it now that the entire "I Stand with Vic" movement is heading to the fate of GamerGate within 1-2 years. Yellow Flash is on stream now talking with some random asshat about a guy trying to grift money off the movement while complaining about other people grifting off the movement. Every stream Rekeita does now has someone trying to super chat about their own personal go fund me for their: "friendwhoistotallynotthemwhoneedsmoneybecauseimightlosemyhouse" or people trying to pimp their shitty youtube channel. Rekeita's unrelenting ignorance of talking to people who claim to know about GG who don't and not listening to better reason will start to tank this whole ship quickly. At some point it will spin out of control and Rekeita will be forced to remove his association with it out of fear of tanking his own brand he built to be the Metokur of the movement while TUG and Yellow flash continue on to the Ethan Ralph and Sargon paths after the movement implodes.

Thankfully the case in court will most likely be unaffected by all of this, but the current litany of orbiters around this will accelerate this into something stupid. This has the potential to derail Rekeita's grand schemes of this being a movement that supports other people falsely accused of fake sexual harassment.

Good luck to the Exceptionals. May they live long and prosper.
Late because I've been sick as a dog for the last 3-4 days but personally IDGAF if the exceptional youtube gayops bubble around this implodes as long as Vic gets his justice and this case launches the first legal torpedo against Millennial call out/cancel culture.

Nevermind, if it came out that Vic needed more money, the coffers would be full again in a week. If not less.

They could be doing this, trying to bleed him dry. I have a friend who won a defamation case against his previous employer. The court awarded him the damages he was asking for and then trebeled them. The company had to pay out over three-million for fees and the like. My friend is a huge fan of Vic, and he's sitting on $50,000 right now to throw into the pot should it come down to it.

Definitely, just pointing the exceptionalism of the chair rapist saying, "If he just admits to what he did and laid low for a few months, we'd welcome him back in no time."

They won't be going to the cons. They will be screeching like harpys online.

Tell your friend to hold off donating to the GFM. I'm not trying to say don't donate but the longer we delay hitting that second goal the better. It keeps the money pipeline flowing even if it is just drips right now. We definitely aren't in a worry zone as I think most of the main targets will hit especially Marzgurl. I do not think she realizes she's a YouTuber and RT was a YouTube born company. Probably could get something interesting out of her to use on other people.

It will hopefully pick up again once the wheels of justice start rolling too. I don't know how Vic is doing financially right now after moving back to Texas, but I imagine he'd outlast Rial and Toye at the very least.

Opting not to hire someone because of controversy based on publicly available information is perfectly legal, so long as you reach that conclusion on your own.
And that's the beauty of Kamehacon's promotion of Rial's little sadcon. Every con got the subtext of "This is what Monica Rial does, would you like to deal with this?", without any private communication between the cons. Any competent social media marketer is going to spend at least some time out of their week eyeballing their competition. They all saw KC's announcement.

kickvic will be there boycotting every con he goes to
Kickvic are cosplayers. Cosplayers aren't customers, they're decoration.

View attachment 757406a note to all conventions ignore this pieces of shit they're not your actual audience.
So they are just flat out admitting that they will continue to do unlawful TI even after this lawsuit. GG PULL, you never cease to out do your own retarded way of thinking.
