He makes JRPG shit but doesn't waste time like ProGeria does. Compare their Quest 64 videos



The thumbnail is cleaner and he gets out more information in the first minute and a half than Birdboy does.

When you compare this goblin to a competent tuber it's amazing how he managed to get so many subs in the first place. His content is just bland.

Only person I like on that site is Jirard/The Completionist.

PBG's videos haven't improved unlike a lot of the rest of the video game reviewers, e.g. Jon, AVGN, The Completionist, etc.
Not to mention the guy's vids haven't exceeded 1 million views in a while, which is fine if you're like Jirard making vids every few days, not when you have 2 million subs and take about a month between uploads, yet get ~500k views now. Maybe if he spent more time making good content instead of being a Twitter intellectual his vids would improve.

Jirard is a wholesome good boy (as far as i know) but I remember the fallout between him and Greg, it was huge. Personally Greg was preventing me from getting into his content as soon as he left. Jirard has been one of my favorite youtubers

I think the only reason Jared even got remotely popular in the first place was purely based on the fact he joined youtube around the rise of AVGN when people just ate that shit up. If he'd started making content a little later I doubt he'd have as much of a cult following as he does now. (or did)

Surprised he hasn't deleted his channel either. like you said they're plenty of other people that produce the same content thats arguably better but who knows. might just be the final nail in the coffin to kill this faggots dumbass channel.

Honestly i was thinking the same thing. The only reason why characters like Jared, IrateGamer, Doug Walker,DSP,Spoony etc got popular was because there were zero standards for content creation on Youtube at that point in the site's history

Jared was popular from his Screwattack days. He did their news videos, did a mini series with them, did a lot of livestreams, and was a member of the popular Mario Party after dark streams they would do. When he left he already had a following that followed him to Youtube.

Also he made that video How to Make Slender Not Scary that blew the fuck up out of nowhere and brought a lot of traffic to his channel.

I think it also helped that his content was seen as being pretty similar to Spoony's (video games, Final Fantasy, and D&D-focused RPG stories) around the time he imploded. I discovered him and Jontron around the time people were recommending alternatives to his stuff.

I imagine Jared only wishes he were an autistic shut-in who rants about Trump all day right now.

Crazy to think how old this is and Jared was the one to make it. I remember watching this with my brother. Might be shit now but I enjoyed it then. How far has Jared fallen?
