So I have a dumb question: is that motion to quash or whatever it's called sent by Casey Erick today late and does it still count? I kind of want to know if this part of the lawsuit is over or we're still doing this madness. And of course everyone is going to advise Rial to keep going to spend more of Vic's money so that they have less chances of getting sued.

Almost certainly not. Council would have told her to accept the papers because A) It would stop her from getting into more trouble with a judge for dodging and B) Her council needs to actually see the papers to start fighting the case.
As much as we thought Casey was put in a bind with how late Moronica dropped their shit on him, Marchi's lawyer is going to be hit with the litigation equivalent of a freight train.

I don't think Casey is incompetent or extraordinarily sleazy. Lawyers sometimes have to do things that are perfectly legal but a bit slimy to legal laymen. He's got idiots for clients and by now he knows they are beyond fucked and he's mitigating the situation as best he can. I have no question that he told MoRonica that it was a bad idea for them not to have separate counsel and they insisted and that tied his hands even worse. (My personal theory is that when Ron saber-rattled about being a man who pays his and Monica's legal bills and doesn't need no man... I mean no GFM, Monica was put into a bind because if she fund raises she will look bad by Ron's own words. So if he backed her against a wall financially, she figures she should let him pay and the best way to make sure he doesn't weasel out down the line is to have the same attorney so their fates rise and fall together and he can't refuse to pay unless he risks his own defense. Possibly a stupid opinion but not the stupidest we've seen so far.)
So when you have idiots for clients, you realize idiots need representation too, just like dog rapists and con artists. You do what you can, even if it involves the kitchen sink maneuver. At some point defending those two will demand behavior that is decidedly unethical and when that happens I don't think Casey will go down that road. But for now, he's defending two very stupid, very guilty people and his options outside of shenanigans like we see today and in the response are limited. I sort of respect him for deciding to help these bumbling morons. The money he makes will be more than offset by the absolute frustration. I can't imagine he looked at this and thought it would be easy money.
I love that KickVic isn't taking this seriously, even now. Ron still thinks that some girls saying Vic soul raped them when he made eye contact, raped them when he was proven elsewhere, and Tumblr call out blogs that cannot be traced to a single identity are proof. Jamie is fucking trying to evade receiving service like she's some fourth grader who brilliantly stumbled across a solution to the problem everyone else has missed out on over the decades. When they end up living in cardboard boxes or wearing barrels like some Depression-era cartoon, will they take this seriously?

It will be 3 weeks after the first Monday before she was "served" (in this case having the papers dumped on her lawn). If that was done before yesterday then she has until the 3rd June to lawyer up and get a response filed to avoid default judgement. If the server didn't go back to drop the papers until yesterday (or has still yet to do it) then that buys her an extra week.

Isn't that just wasting time? If Marchi is intentionally dodging this lawsuit, that needs to be held into account. She can't just waste people's time by dodging it. At some point, she would have to get served, whether she is present or not. Someone was in her house the first time, and her car was there at least once.

If she still doesn't retain a lawyer or respond within the time allotted, she'll end up defaulting judgement. So, they'll force the paperwork on her, then if she doesn't comply, they force her to pay out what she owes for defaulting.
