It doesn't, a lot of the online community just whines about fair use despite what the creators say. That being said, I think it was a few of the Kingdom Hearts and the Dragon Quest Heroes that had strict streaming guidelines in the in game legal documents. Then there was the "Don't go past x-date in Persona 5" and probably more I just don't remember or don't know.

It’s little shit like this that annoys me so much, it just makes him sound like such a smug know it all. The way he talks he acts like buying the game is some special binding agreement or legal procedure that lets him do whatever the fuck he wants with it.

His YouTube made him a minimum of between $35K and $50K last year. . .minimum. It's anywhere from like 1/3rd to close to half his income. As much as he bitches, whines, memes, and talks shit about it (and as completely retarded as this sounds) in Phil's own delusional mind he is 'working as hard as he can' to put out the 'highest quality, raw, unedited gameplay experiences' that he is capable of. Phil genuinely thinks he puts out a highly unique and technically high quality YouTube video product that he deserves to be compensated for by at least double to triple this amount, so he keep doing it 'the same way I've always done it' in hopes that somehow his YouTube bucks will go back to that level.
He blames YouTube for his ad revenue going down and he blames YouTube for his views going down, so he narcissistically doesn't change his 'product' to "prove" it is (((their))) fault because if he were to change and his situation improved he would have to accept personal responsibility for things he's fucking up.
He did nothing wrong and he's being punished for it, so won't you please open your hearts and wallets to this poor abused man and TIP HIM today? He gets that money right away, so tipping him helps the most.
He could lose his house if he misses one payment, ignore that there is a federal mandate that requires 120 days of non-payment before foreclosure proceedings can be initiated, that's just more slander and lies from people who've tried to murder him and his then fiancé. Also ignore that what he technically makes now are called 'Longplays' and there is nothing unique about what he does except that he creates the shittyest Longplays.

There's no way in hell he made that much off Youtube. He gets like ~1mil views a month, which works out to like between $1k and $2k a month, because you know he's not getting quality CPM based on his views, not being in a network or being managed, having no sponsorships or endorsements, etc. Even socialblade, which is very generous for its high end, tops him out at $35k. He's probably making like $15k, maybe $20k. Now, that's not nothing, but it's clearly something he knows is dwindling as he continues to try to shift to only Twitch.

That's not really my point, though, it's more the size of the audience. The majority of his vids get like 600 views tops. His twitch streams get like 400 on average. It doesn't make any sense to appeal to the YT audience when there's near just as many people watching him live, detractors or not, who are potential wallets.

He won't say anything, because he knows he has to play nice to keep all the connections he has. But he knows who you are, what you're about, and what you've done Phil.

Edit: As for video editors. Sony Vegas 16 Platinum has been on sale for the past year for less than $100. It's a one-time license, you buy it, it's yours, no need to re-up. Good job Phil, an easy tax/business write-off and you fuck it up.

the last time I tuned in for mlb I suspected he has been drinking too, i also think he drank a bit before tonight.
