The true believers will never stop believing Vic is guilty, the only difference is that with their "celebrity" mouthpieces silenced they will go back to just being pudding elementals with an axe to grind about their degenerate bean flicking material not getting signed, and nothing more.
It's everyone else that believed the supposedly credible hobby specific "celebrities" that can be swayed to at least stop caring one way or the other, if not be convinced Vic did nothing wrong.

That would be my guess.
Again, this only picked up any kind of steam because of what appears to be a coordinated credibility boost by several minor celebrities "in the industry" with some actual following combined with a side dish of a general milieu of Metoo hysteria.
Pudding elementals can scream into the void from their forum all they want, but without that all important signal boost from someone people give two shits about, it's just that, screaming into the void.
Edit: Come to think of it, there will be one very important difference...if Vic wins (either by trial or settlements that result in retractions/apologies/general crow eating), every time someone "whispers" something about these allegations outside their hugbox they'll likely get dogpiled by the autism brigade that can't wait to point to wins/settlement results and dunk on them generally. That will probably result in much hilarity.

That's why I don't get people insisting Vic is screwed ether way because these accusations will "follow him to the grave" even if he wins and forces Moron to admit they're full of shit.
Vic already had a bullshit whisper network against him for at least a decade before this all blew up so if he wins it'll at worst just return things to the way they were before.

Unfortunately, lawsuits are about specifics and proof, not "your honor the plaintiff is creepy".

What evidence is"right in [our] faces"? It's the lack of evidence that he's done anything that he's been accused of that leads us to believe that he hasn't done what he's been accused of. Otherwise, I don't know how you would go about proving that someone didn't do something.
I think the most damning thing currently is that defense's response to the plaintiff's complaint does not include Rial or Marchi's accounts of suffering by Vic, but still cites McConnell and a bunch of unverifiable anonymous accounts.
