I've watched Blaire's live streams, so I already knew about the situation with her family. I'll admit that this is sad, but honestly, maybe this will help Blaire realize that being the Perfect Tranny™ won't make society more accepting. I could always tell by the way she talked about other trans people that she had her head up her own ass. Like, yes, it is essential that trans people do their best to pass. It's also vital that they try to get real jobs instead of hooking. But even the most classy, rational, passable trans person will still deal with transphobia. I know for a fact that the people in my own life would NOT be okay with me being trans, even if I 100% passed and led a successful life. Now, is that a problem? I guess it depends on your worldview. But Blaire needs to stop pretending that all trannies need to act like her if they want acceptance. It's not that simple. And her throwing other trannies under the bus hasn't made her family start to love her.

Edit: I even remember her once saying that coming out as conservative was harder than coming out as trans. Really, Blaire? Because I'm pretty sure you being conservative isn't why your family disowned you. She's so delusional and dishonest.

Considering her uncle is gay and he still blocked her, I think it's a combination of Blaire being trans and being a celebrity. Many religious households don't mind much about a relative being gay as long as they keep it quiet. Also, speaking from my own experience (not gay, other issues), trying to please your family never works. Once they've decided you're the odd one, you're always gonna be the odd one even if someone does something worst.

Blaire's very shallow and sometimes can be a complete airhead, but she ain't necessarily a bad person. Hope she lands well on this. I mean, some families are awful and it's a complete waste of time trying to please them.

I have to agree and eh, "Celebrity" is a bit of a stretch. I think that real celebrities can say they accomplished something because they usuallu have to work hard at something tangible (writing, acting, painting, etc.). The honest truth about YouTube is the "success" is not as lucrative as an official thing like say, movie making. Blaire's videos will lose relevance in another year or two. I'm not saying that she isn't successful, she deifnitely is since she's okay now but if YouTube were to just shut down, I feel it would definitely affect her livelihood.

Oh for sure. Considering she doesn't have a real job (I mean in the sense of being out in the public) and hasn't been for awhile since about 2014-2015(?), her whole life is online based and it can definitely warp your sense of reality around you in real life. And for real, it's definitely going to be an awkward time when she'll have to tell her kids that they have no family on the outside other than her mom's side and Joey's family. As for her living as a dude eh, I think with the proper explanation they will understand.

I do feel somewhat sorry for Blaire I will say for once even though I personally said "No shit" when she said she'd been lying. I agree, I just don't think passing helps as much as Blaire seems to think. Most people are weirded out by trans people no matter how they look. Blaire bases so much of her identity around being a "hot tranny" and it's so cringey. Whether you're a trans person who looks like Blaire or Steven Crowder in drag, there will people who don't want to be around you. Your dating pool will also be much, much smaller. I'm glad Blaire is starting to be honest about that instead of selling her audience lies. I guess it used to be easier for her to blame all her problems on other trannies than to accept that not everyone will be okay with her lifestyle.

Pretty much agree with this. It doesn't matter how "hot" or passable a transwoman is, there will always be people who won't accept or like them because at the end of the day, they view transwomen as delusional men. So it's just not worth trying to appease to them because it'll never work. And so true on the dating pool. Blaire kept saying that she had no problem finding guys to date her but part of me thinks she's embellishing just a little bit. I can't help but feel that what she really means is that she had no problem finding guys who want to have sex with her because that is very common among the "tranny chaser" dating scene but when it comes to actual relationships,, it's very hard to find. I think this is where I'll have to give a point to Kat Blaque over Blaire because Kat is very upfront and honest about her dating life and how difficult it was and can be whereas Blaire has to keep the whole "Hot tranny chick on the block" persona.

Anyway back on the topic, I wonder if the reason why she went down the Conservative path was to try to get in good with "normal" people.
