So she just laid there staring off into the void and seizing. But God spoke through her and changed lives.
Fundies have this bizarre belief that tards and straight up potato gremlins are somehow holy vessels that God speaks through to do his amazing and miraculous works.
I wonder if deep down it is really an act of desperation to have their kid be able to accomplish something. They can't play sports. They can't win a spelling bee. They will never go to medical school. Most of them will never walk or talk. So doing God's work (which requires no action or proof, just faith) is something the parents can claim their kid is doing. It's all according to God's plan. Your potato is suffering like Jesus for a reason.
In the back of their minds though, do they question why God would make their child deformed and r.etarded when other children are normal? Some of them have to have doubts they keep to themselves.
Yet he barely visits Jaxon and just uses him as a vehicle for gloating about his Jesus freakdom. I'd wager that's sinful. Fundies are really exploitative of the vulnerable. Anything to preach the word that all life is precious no matter what the cost. Their sense of morality is such that suffering is a wonderful thing even if you are a tiny sickly baby with no say in the matter.
