Interesting theory but likely wrong. Boogie was having a lot of marital issues long before he finally found a doc willing to do the weight loss surgery. Then, after he got it he basically expected Dez to be his hand nurse. Shortly after he had the surgery they took a trip up to Dez's family's place in the UP of Michigan. Boogie really struggled that week as he was basically unable to eat and get online. Without access to his vices he was no doubt an incredibly whiny man child.

About a month after that they tried to do another family trip and Boogie basically was such a whiny bitch that Dez dumped his ass back in AR and she went to Michigan by herself. That was the beginning of the end although Boogie spun it at the time as "Dez just taking some time" and that he selflessly "volunteered" to stay back in AR so she wouldn't have to put up with him.

Who knows what horrendous shit Boogie said and did post surgery when he was all drugged up and just lashing out at whoever to take out his frustration at not being able to eat. They were always going to get divorced but the WLS probably sped up the process as Boogie's true nature was revealed.

As to why Dez got into the marriage in the 1st place who knows. She's not a great catch herself and probably figured she could "fix him up" and do nerdy gamer shit together in the meantime while living large on his income. That fantasy quickly turned to the reality of being a nurse to a 500lb man child with severe emotional issues.

FWIW Boogie was on stream last night bitching about his marriage and divorce and how depressed he is.

Good point. His stomach is probably fucked beyond belief from the endless NSAIDs and the surgery. Wouldn't surprise if his next medical saga is an ulcer. He also has permanent damage to his back that requires pain maintenance. I'll give him a bit of credit tho he managed not to get hooked on opiates post op. He was clearly on them for awhile but seems to have managed to ditch them. His streams aren't obviously just him all fucked up on narcs like the first months after the surgery.

I think you're overestimating the appeal of people like ProJared. Yeah people like him probably make (or made) decent money and have a modicum of internet fame, but when it comes down to it he's still just an ugly nerd. While for sure 'nerd culture' is much more socially acceptable than it was, it's still pretty low down in the pecking order when it comes to what the opposite sex finds attractive.

Girls involved in 'nerd culture' are often there because they're not great catches themselves and have found a group of men with probably very little experience with women and low self-esteem that will worship any female that gives them the time of day.

He could target addicts, a whole new market of vulnerable people, and he can frame his "recovery" to be inspirational.
