wtf if your step kids are saying they hate you often enough to have 'come backs' for it you're doing something very wrong. Step parents are not supposed to have the same family role as biological parents at all because children resent it heavily. Their main role is to be supportive of the biological parent and of the kids in a positive capacity, discipline should be left to biological parents as much as possible. Children that cherish their step parents do so because the step parent makes their biological parent happy, and lol, that seems unlikely.
