He does it because he's a spiteful shit trying to annoy people. He stopped doing it for a bit when people pretended to like it.

His King of Hate explanation is stupid narcissism, also. It's based on his FGC "rivals" underestimating him or some such nonsense, when in reality none of them cared about his irrelevant ass and Phil was the one that did all the hating.

It's even sadder than that, since I seem to recall he did it also to claim he was the leader of a group of FGC players who called themselves the hate army. So his entire moniker is a teenager's idea of cool and the desperate delusion of greatness.

The fact Phil goes on a tirade about him having to "concentrate on an action FPS" when you look at streamers who play fast paced competitive FPS games and STILL interact with chat. Also, I love how he acts like he's talking to people on Youtube sometimes when he has all of his Youtube comments disabled.

I hope someone out there is able to get hold of the email in question and show how it's been put together, because nothing says "I'm a boomer on Twitch" more than thinking you're getting special treatmant because of a bog-standard corporate email that literally thousands of others (employees) have received as well. It's almost like getting an email from a Nigerian prince and thinking you'll be receiving millions of dollars.
And then to show your lack of social intelligence to the whole world by making a smug tweet about it, with the underlying message being "Look, everyone! Look at me! I've matured SO much and Twitch is recognizing my talent! I must be doing something right! Fuck the haters!"

Ironically, considering his moniker, I've never seen someone more scared shitless of negative human interaction than the King of Hate. And when he's confronted by it he doesn't know how to react. That rare instance where someone gets to call him out to his face he gets flustered and shaken up. In short, he's a massive pussy, which is why he isolates himself in the pig pen. If anything it's because he has his internet plugged into a ton of shit that probably doesn't get turned off. A laptop, a desktop, multiple gaming systems, two phones, Kat's computer and game systems, and his cable. He likely just doesn't shut his shit off while they're still hooked up to the internet, but that's probably conjecture.
