Ok, so... don't know why I feel the need to preface this, but Randall Fragg got me concerned... so here's hoping we're not undoing some hard working mental health professionals progress, but a few items on his theory page that are either scientifically incorrect or inconsistent:
The Supporting Data (valid | invalid)
..."~74% of...." There's a whoooolle lot of 'approximately' and then picking 74 as an arbitrary stopping point.
"~74% of this universe's elemental mass is hydrogen" approximately 74% of the universe is hydrogen according to Wikipedia, so good start.
"the Sun's/most stars' mass is ~74% hydrogen" most sources say the sun is 91% hydrogen by atoms and 71% by mass, that's ~90% and ~70%.
"~74% of this universe is dark energy (~69%) and ordinary matter (~5%)" Ok, so here we're adding two very different things to get an approximate. On it's face we can object to that. If we were adding dark energy and dark matter, that's at least consistent. Best sources say ~72% of the universe is dark energy and ~5% is normal matter. We can classify this as 'not even wrong'.
"4 is in the middle of 7; it's the majority of 7. #7 is the 4th prime number. 7+7=14, 7x7=49: '7 naturally produces 4'." 3.5 is the middle of 7. 4 is the middle of 8. 7 is likely the 4th prime! 2+2 = 4, 2x2 = 4. 2 naturally produces 4 better than 7. This is neither evidence for or against a theory.
4÷7 = .571428... Decimals of this kind in which the same figures are infinitely repeated are called repeating decimals. The part repeated is called the repetend and .571428 (4÷7) continually repeating without end is highly symbolic of GOD. *shrug* Theology.
"Besides Earth, this solar system has 7 planets:" Whoa whoa whoa. That's some serious cherry picking... For many of the subsequent points to begin to stick.
Earth is discarded for no reason other than it's necessary to fit the theory. What the plan was when Pluto was a planet? Who knows.
": the 4th from the Sun is the LARGEST: Jupiter" Mars is 4th, Jupiter is 5th.
"Out of these 7 planets, 4 are non-rocky gas or ice giants." Again, arbitrary combination.
"Venus is .7 AU & Mercury .4 AU from the Sun" So sure. That's correct, however, doesn't really seem relevant. Venus and Mercury are not invoked again, really. So this might as well say "A planet is 70% of the distance from the sun to the Earth (which we're discounting) and another is 40%".
"Saturn's '4 seasons' are each ~7.4 years long." Seasons are an arbitrary, non-scientific construct. And as they are aribrary you can say all the planets have 4 seasons. With 8 planets, you'd be hard pressed NOT to have at least one have a 7. Be that as it may... Saturn seasons would be 7.2 years.
"Jupiter accounts for 74% of the planetary gravitational/tidal forces affecting the Sun." Couldn't source this.
"Uranus is the 7th planet from the Sun and 4th largest planetary mass in this solar system." 7th planet, and 4th largest mass. But again, arbitrary. Does the 4th largest planet have the 7th planetary mass? No. And that's not any more evidence against this theory than it is for.
"The 7 Classical Planets were/are the 7 moving objects in the heavens that could be seen with the naked eye." Way more issues coming in that case... This is adding the Sun and Moon to the then 5 non-Earth planets.
", Galileo was the first to observe and document a 7th planet (Neptune)" So... in no context is Neptune the 7th planet. It's the 8th. Classically you'd have Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn then Neptune (8th). Modernly you have Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune (again 8th).
"Uranus is the 7th planet from the Sun" Correct! And here I must stop. Earlier he says Jupiter is 4th because he's ignoring Earth. Next he says Neptune is 7th, though not sure how. Now Uranus is correctly 7th. If Jupiter IS 4th, Uranus is 6th and Neptune is 7th. Internally inconsistent and arbitrary.
But some low hanging fruit:
"English is Earth's primary language" Mandarin Chinese has 955 Million speakers. English has 360 Million. If you include non-native speakers, Mandarin is over a billion, English is 840 Million.
"Earth has 7 continents & 4 seasons, ('7 Seas') & 4 oceans, ~74% of Earth's surface is water" The 7 seas classically would be inclusive of the '4' oceans of which there are 5; Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Southern and Arctic. Geologically speaking there's not 7 continents. The division between Asia and Europe is arbitrary. And another ~74... According to Wikipedia 70.8% of the Earth's surface is water.
