Inactive Pretty Ugly Little Liars: Weeb Wars Edition - Stupid thoughts from stupid THOTs

That's just Cloudflare. But for legal purposes, I think you could argue that they are being hosted in Dallas. Or Houston. Or San Jose. Or basically wherever is convenient for your lawsuit...

It's irrelevant. Ty has no interest in suing PULL. What would be the point? It is Casey who has to figure out how to serve them in order to get useful info such as identifiable user names and contact info, etc. The Beard isn't going to call PULL Twats. he knows they are idiots. He will simply go about easily proving they are idiots and "Liars" once Casey succeeds in identifying a few of them and forcing them to testify in Texas. Getting them there and Jurisdiction is not Ty's problem. They aren't his witnesses.

Well this is unexpected. I've heard of cows going DFE, but never an entire forum all at once.
I do wonder what's the excuse they'll give for the conveniently Tiananmen'd posts.

Meanwhile, I nominate GNR's Get In The Ring as this thread's theme song.

The forum itself is immune under § 230 of the CDA, much like the Farms. The most anyone running it faces (unless they have participated in defamation personally) is the nuisance of discovery. If they have a sensible data retention policy (PROTIP: that would be zero) the most they'd face is having to send out a reply that they had nothing other than exactly what is publicly available and maybe an email address.

A'yup. I phrased that badly. What I meant was Ty has no interest in suing the individual tards over at PULL. But you would still need to figure out how to serve PULL in order to subpoena them for user records, etc. (can you imagine how juicy the member to member or private group DM's might be?). We all know there is no point to it. Figuring out how to get usable witlesses out of PULL is Casey's problem.

None of these idiots has shit and if they did they'd do anything possible to avoid showing up. None of these people are going to save the kickers.

But that’s the beauty. Everybody (sane) knows PULL has absolutely nothing of value. To Casey. To Vic. To Society as a whole. They got nothing. But Casey’s gonna have to try anyway, because this is the first primary evidence he put before the Judge. This was his opining act. The first thing the Judge sets eyes on. And you can never undo first impressions. So Casey is going to have to waste time and money trying to get something out of Pull. Otherwise his filing is worse than empty.

Should we have a poll as to why PULL was pulled?

From the Lolcow thread:

iirc there was a banner stating they are performing site mantinence and that there may be outages.

Edit: The site went down within 30 seconds of "2019-05-21T09:01:51Z" based on when my archiving script stopped working

We should wait, it's probably just maintenance.
I think I do remember a banner of sorts saying something about maintenance.
If it doesn't come up after a day, then we can start assuming that it was nuked.

What I'd be curious about is the number of posts on Vic's thread when it comes back up compared to before the outage to see if they scrubbed anything. Someone with an archive could help perhaps.

My guess is either it's a fake patreon, or the one launching it is so exceptional as to not even get the proper URL, unless they've admitted it's just been one person with hundreds of socks running the entire forum (PrettyUglyLittleLiar.net)

Edit: Scratch that, I've been awake too long and it seems i'm the exceptional one. For some reason I always thought there was an 's' at the end.
