The judge probably looked at all the paperwork and decided it was time to get the ball rolling. Plus it's a holiday weekend, so it gives both parties time to unfuck themselves, of which I imagine at least one side had a substantial amount of unfucking to do.

I don't know if it's going to be everything or just Toye's dipshit motion, but the judge has to be aware both sides have filed. So I don't know whether he'll just get everything off the table at once or wait until the 31st for Vic's motion.

I'll note it's the last motion scheduled for the day which generally indicates it's something substantive that could be open ended in length.

Yeah funny how he's available for a hearing on his own motion but not any other day in all of May.

He's the judge.

I'm glad that he appears to be conscientious about docketing motion hearings promptly. Things should move along pretty nicely even with the defendants' dilatory and evasive conduct.
