I have nothing about truck drivers per se. I am just mentioning them as a common term for rowdy, dumb men. I am not saying all are like that. They are randomly drug tested, must pass frequent physicals and road readiness exams, must have good mathematics skills to deal with wieghts, mileage, logs, good record keeping skills, communications. They are not allowed to drive more than 11 hours solid, and this is tracked by on board computers. Many truck drivers are dedicated family men (and women) who are incredible providers, as it is a very good paying job and rightfully so. Sure quite a few are socially ackward, due to long hours alone, not to mention the predisposition to tolerate such long periods of solitude.
The reason I say all this is that your, and many other's stereotyped view of truckers is quite mistaken. Is it possible your stereotyped views of other members of western society is also mistaken?

The difference is that you're probably right about truckers since I never met any US truckers. Ok, did meet one and he fit my stereotype.

The problem with this idea is that you think men who get women for their personality alone are better than providers. But this isn't so. Men who get women for their personality alone are always dumb-asses and assholes while providers are usually good and decent men. So there is no reason for a man to provide in the west, unless he is actually rich (minimum 5 million).
