Paracetamol just plain old doesn’t work for a significant number of people. It would never be approved now, as previous posters have said - it’s not effective in enough people and the difference between a therapeutic and a lethal dose is just too small for something every household has. It is a drug to be really cautious with, and used sporadically at the lowest dose possible.

Anna. She’s veering into munchie territory and is weakened by years of anorexia. She’s already looking puffy which is probably her electrolytes all out of whack from purging and she’s got an open hole into her system. One bad flu and over extertion and she’s going to have a heart attack. Cardiac arrest or sepsis, or maybe even a big GI bleed with all that aloe. (I always want to throttle aloe shills - it’s Ok for v mild skin burns but do NOT fucking drink the stuff...) most of these munchies are actually fairly healthy under it all but she’s been abusing her system for years. If she was my kid I’d be moving heaven and earth to get her committed or into inpatient treatment in any way I could.
