TL;DR: This is just me telling about how I found out about this circlejerk, I joined having a high expectation,then was banned for being a very naughty boy to their non existent GFs
I am new to Kiwifarms so please bare with me if this is not professional by normal standards , but I originally found out about the concept of one being devoted to a fictional character from J.T Sexkik's waifuism video (Which has aged really well to this topic). So morbid curiosity got the best of me, thinking that 'Oh, maybe it was just like that, maybe its just a bunch of people looking at anime characters they really like and UwUing at them'. I was mistakenly wrong. But when I originally joined, I went there with an open mind, hoping that it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be based off of J.T's video, so I decided to put describe my waifu (Yes I am a waifufag, I get it, I get it, but I know the difference between fantasy and reality), fast forward about 7 days later, I joined the discord thinking it would be sorta like /waifu/ (Which is a much tamer waifu community, as in tamer I mean not delusional and actually has a sense of reality). As soon as I am allowed in the main part of the server, I am met with Nyakka (The person who unironically wants Game and Watch's 2D penis up her ass) and she introduces herself and Mr. Game and Watch, which I follow up with the responese "Oh, I hate Mr.Game and Watch" as a reference to my friend always maining G&W in Smash (Which I did not clarify, so that was on my part) . I was quickly bombarded with comments like "Omg!!1!! so rood!1!!1" or whatever, so I then said that I have a kidfu as a joke, which again cause a ton of backfire towards my way considering all the kidfu faggots in the server (So I sorta felt forced into 'confessing' that I had a kidfu to make myself feel accepted into the community because again, I went in there with a high expectation and I was really fearful that I was going to be disappointed) , So with my already pretty bad reputation in the server for hurting these little snowflakes, it is sorta obvious that I was slowly starting to realize that this community was actually serious about being in a committed relationship....which wasn't even commitment, just them alienating themselves that their 2D waifu was their true lover and is specifically revered for them. So the I guess about a week or so of me observing a ton of lowlifes crying about how sad they are without their imaginary signification other, I vivdily remembering seeing James crying about how he and I quote "Wants to live with Maxima" and how he wants to drop out of school to be with his make believe husband. A new guy joined who was infatuated with Homura Akemi from Madoka Magica, I dismissed it as another member joining, until I realized he 1. Bought a ring for his non existent wife, I didn't really...judge him for it...until he started talking about a honeymoon, a wedding, the whole fucking 9 yards. I slowly started to poke fun at him offline. Then once he announced his 'adoption' of Narancia (A character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind) I was the first one to respond with the snarky remark and that is when the shitshow began again. Keep in mind though, I was not harassing anyone during this time of me dicking around in waifuism (cause its what I do, I like to mess around), I was only poking fun at their 2 dee wifus, and they were the ones who got upset and started harassing me for making tame jokes at their fictional lovers, I also made a joke towards Blake's 'daughters' but I do not think it is that important to mention other than the fact that I got muted for a week because of my tame joke. The same day I got muted, I started to really get mad and pissed off by this circlejerk of pity, so I went to someone in the server (who used to be my friend at the time) talking about how god forsaken the concept of waifuism is, then I got banned from waifuism for just a few jokes about some people who do not exist
I am so sorry that this is way too long (Probably the longest reply on this forum) I just felt like I had to get out my experiences with this miserable excuse for a community, again, I am so...so sorry for this long post, if you have any questions about what happened in detail, just ask me.

As someone who's been observing these guys for years, I can tell you that everyone who has Ruby Rose as their waifu (and there have been plenty) is batshit insane even among cartoon-fucking enthusiasts. It's this specific character and I have no fucking clue why.

I personally attribute any insanity among RWBY waifuists as an innate quality of anyone who thinks a goddamn scythe is a reasonable weapon.
