Careercow Jamie Lynn Marchi / Jamie Perez / marchimark / She Devil - Wants Vic's head and balls, but not his papers; Cucked by a Chicken Sandwich

Sorry Jamie. At this point it doesn't whether you claim it was sent to the wrong house, the weather destroyed it, or that your dog ate it. You gotta answer and there's no excuse not to since, according to you 'my lawyer already knows about the papers." All those comments mocking the service are going to come back to bite her if she tries to claim she didn't know about it.

I'd be willing to bet Mr. Aldridge has been to court many times to defend the authenticity of his service and would be happy to do so again. Imagine her openly lying about an officer of the court while in the court she has been openly mocking. Oh god, I hope it happens.

Has the fact that she's officially been served and has until June 17th to respond changed her attitude or tweeting habits? Has she finally acknowledged this is a serious matter that snarky tweets won't make disappear?

Probably won't come to that but would love to see Lamont head in to court with printed out tweets showing she knew she was served papers and was deliberately ducking them should she pull the "I didn't know" crap.

the fact she's still trying to deny that she ever got served or that it's possibly not her that got served is exceptional in of itself imo, rather then just stating something along the lines of "Well If I did get served Vic has no winning chance," and ending it there she just makes herself look even worse.

Here I was hoping they just nailed it to the door like in the olden days.

The old "nail and mail" has gone out of fashion in some areas, perhaps because some process servers had a habit of really going out of their way to fuck up your door if you were an idiot about service.

Nothing this dumb bitch says matters. She's now legally served and it wouldn't even matter if she literally didn't get it. She's already publicly admitted to having the complaint and knowing its contents.

The legal requirement for service isn't that it's an absolute certainty that you received it but simply that you were served "by any manner reasonably calculated under the circumstances to provide the party with actual notice of the proceedings and an opportunity to be heard." Mullane v. Central Hanover Bank & Trust Co., 339 U.S. 306 (1950) (this is one of those 1L cases).

PROTIP: If you want to dodge service successfully, don't engage in infantile public shenanigans taunting the court about how you're deliberately wasting everyone's time and think the court is a joke.

I'm just baffled that she STILL seems to think she can make this all go away just by ignoring it and mocking it on twitter.
If this doesn't come back to bite her ass in court I will be completely surprised.

I can't say I'd blame them in this situation after being mocked online about how she dodged service. I'd use a sledgehammer and a railroad spike to delicately affix that notice to her door if I was in his position and knew about her tweets.

Look lady, it doesnt matter if you say that's not your house, or you never got those papers, or that the rain ruined them. The court has officially stated you are served and they dont give two flying fucks about whatever excuse you try to deny it. Stop being a fucking petulant child and accept what's happening.
The literal worst case scenario now for Ty is that he just has to cite her tweets to prove she was aware of attempted service long before the papers were left on her door. It's that simple.

Given how many scofflaw deadbeats live in housing owned by someone else and merely rented, I wouldn't be surprised if lobbying by landlords was responsible for putting an end to this practice.
