Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I dunno, people chimped out pretty damn hard about it a couple years ago, they clearly cared at one point

Because they were annoyed at spoiled drug addict millionaires whining about Orange Man Bad while getting paid to play a children's game, or because they were frothingly outraged at people for being annoyed at spoiled drug addict millionaires whining. It generated a lot of social media churn but it's not really a "drive people to the polls" sort of issue.

From what I understand Abe is relatively well liked at the moment in Japan and he's formed a pretty good friendship with Trump, I think Abe was one of the first, if not the first, world leader to actually begin meeting with Trump after he won the election in order to strengthen American/Japanese relations and probably hoping to score some good trade deals with him, he even visited him at Trump Tower in New York.

But since Abe is liked in Japan and him and Trump are close, that connection makes the Japanese people tend to view Trump in a much more positive light. Japan in general though will almost always choose to side with America in geo-political matters, we beat them and then helped rebuild them and even played a heavy hand in the creation of their modern government so while the Japanese in general are relatively xenophobic they do have a certain level of respect and appreciation for the United States.
Trump is relatively well received in Israel also due to moving the embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing Golan Heights as Israeli territory.

I'd much rather be on good terms with Japan and Israel than with France and Germany.

It's one thing to care about it. It's a whole other thing to make it a significant part, or any part really, of a campaign for POTUS.

Also "Trump would get it if he served"

What? "Get" that he should be refusing to stand for the Anthem if he was a former service member?

Because the Steelers' Alejandro Villanueva didn't take a knee with the rest of the team back when it was the hip new protest move, on account of not standing for it being anathema to a, well, former service member, like he IS.

THAT kind of service member? Or the real, true and honest, woke kind that do what the self-proclaimed arbiters of social justice say they should?

Besides, the whole thing was like, what? 10 outrages ago? You are :late: to even bring it up now, it's practically last-century since we now have moved on to kids in cages and the continuing non-proof of Russian collusion being proof of even harder-to-find and more-insidious Russian collusion being the designated hot-take issues.

My issue's always been that people were reeing at the kneeling players for politicizing the game when turning the opening of the game into a military rally in the first place was already politicizing it and the kneelers were just choosing not to participate

Also it's funny that the people ranting about how society is full of snowflakes can't handle seeing a dude on one knee while the special song's playing

Calling the pregame a military rally is hyperbolic. Recognizing military / public servants / teachers / first responders should be pretty non controversial. MLB does pink bats for Mother's Day. Even for the most anti feminist men it's a nothingburger.

Not everything has to be political.

Good lord these people are exceptionally exceptional. How is it even possible to be so damn out of touch and oblivious?

This person really thinks NFL anthem protests are an issue that matter to most people? Not immigration? Not health care? Not the economy? But rather kneeling before a football game? Are they serious?
I hear that POGs and Fobbits are the fucking worst. Buttman here seems to be proving that assertion correct.

I personally was just mostly bothered that someone convinced so many black people to assume a submissive posture when the anthem played. It's like, this isn't 1860, guys; you can stand up along with white people.

Trump met with the Emperor of Japan today and cue the actual derangement.

Trump met with the Emperor of Japan today and cue the actual derangement.

Powerleveling a bit, but it surely stirs my patriotic blood to see the image on the right.

Under law and by design, the President of the United States could be literally anyone; Average Joe or Jane Citizen is technically qualified to sit in the Oval Office if they get the votes. And the President of the United States looks even emperors whose thrones have stood for millennia in the eye and shakes their hand like you shake hands with your neighbor.

People who worry about inequality in this nation need to look at that picture and remember that nobody, nobody, can demand that an American bow to them. And we need to remember that every time someone starts talking about "common sense" limitations on our rights.

So has anyone seen the Joe Biden attacking Mexico and Mexican? I apologize for the source material, it's the only one I know. Start around 4:40

Is it a trick to get the votes of angry white men? I thought Democrats hated white men. :story:

What reason would a Japanese person have to even have strong feelings about Trump one way or the other?

I hate to respond to our latest low-effort thread-shitter, but figure its probably a commonly asked question.

Japan cares because the US keeps the rest of Asia, but specifically China, from fucking with them.

Japan wants the US leadership to be nothing but a string of Trumps and Dubyas: Strong dudes who will make China sit down and shut up. Weak cucky Obama-types make the Japanese leadership very uneasy, because that's the guy they're depending on to defend them from China. Unlike Europe that has this weird domestic policy of shit-talking the US internally & internationally while only top levels seem to truly understand that they'd be speaking Russian shortly after if the US decided to stop subsidizing their national defense.

tl;dr just watch the video and enjoy your weird boner.
