Exactly. So EDS can be weird. People can be fine and pretty active and then one injury from doing nothing in particular can create a disaster of deconditioning and downward spiral of other injuries that make going to PT difficult. A lot of EDS patients complain about the exercise bit because they may have tried so many times and got new injuries OR they’ve been to a PT who ends up doing further damage, which also happens a lot in those patients.I remember seeing that before I got into following all the EDS munchies online. I remember thinking WTF when she claimed that chiropractor cured her. Now that I see that perfectly healthy people claiming EDS are a dime a dozen on Instagram, it makes so much sense.
But, sometimes someone CAN break that deconditioning cycle and be better for a bit until the next injury that causes a need for major surgery.
HOWEVER, that particular woman left out the part that she moved to Colorado, is literally consuming her weight in edibles and vape every day and is still young enough that her injuries likely weren’t that severe. BUT, since coming into the munchie world, I’m starting to question whether she actually has EDS.
Edit: would be interesting to do a little more background research in her.
