However it’s not usually the way of people to insist that someone who ate themselves to 700 lbs of immobile fat is the real victim and needs special dispensation in life. And it’s especially funny to watch groups founded entirely on the concept of judgement-free inclusion start sniping at each other over who is secretly more privileged and less deserving of said inclusion.
I’m eager to see where the smallfat vs deathfat conflict leads. Checking one’s mobility-privilege?... I’m trying to think of other funny benefits smallfats would have over larger fats, but I can’t.
Sock privilege for when you can put on your socks without a device. Superfat means a need for a helper or a sock device so then you have comfy privilege. Feedee privilege, for if you have a beta white knight servant to feed you even if you are on Dr Now's supervised diet. Selfwiping privilege. CPAP privilege, for if you can afford the CPAP. So much privileges to be checked. I can think of so much privilege a superfat has over a smallfat instead of the other way around.
How can it be misery porn if the fat people depicted are living their best lives and just as healthy as anyone else? Surely the poster of that comment didn’t mean to imply that being grossly overweight is miserable!
Agreed. So we need a new term. Extra comfy fat? Extra fun size? Plain old XL?
