Because that’s not petty at all.

Imagine November 2020.

The Democrats, having learned absolutely nothing from 2016, lose again to Blornald Drupfl'gthn.

The party's official plan is to allege voter suppression like that one bitch in Georgia and that their chosen child sniffer was denied his turn or whatever.

But something unexpected happens in their base....

One day, a man is sitting in a mexican restaurant in LA. One of his favorite refuges from the trash and needle filled streets. A millennial nonbinary blogger (with nonbinary chest protrusions, shitlord!) walks in and sits down next to him. He takes a bite out of his burrito. And that's when it happens.

She sees it. Falling out of the burrito.

After 4 years of Nazi bigots literally gassing Mexican trans children at the border and lynching black muslims for yelling "hands up don't shoot!" She was already at her breaking point. She thought the nightmare was almost over. Soon the brave #resistance would sweep in like Dumbledore's Army piloting a squadron of TIE Fighters and bash the fash.

And in that moment, she saw it. Falling out of the burrito. The face of the mortal ENEMY of all life in the universe.....

ORANGE

Some recordings found their way online briefly before the silicon valley overlords had them yanked, but needless to say if the man hadn't had his wallet, they'd be identifying him with dental records. The MSM didn't say a peep.

Most thought it was just an isolated crazy snapping. But then another attack in New York. A cab driver wearing an orange shirt in a puddle of red. Produce being destroyed in grocery stores. Spray tan parlors getting firebombed. The only common thread in the frenzied killings and attacks was that bright color. What the DNC had not concieved was just how successful the long campaign to make moldable citizens had been.

Too successful.

Their naive, soy addled millennial base had become mentally fragile to the point of losing all reason and instinct, indiscriminately unleashing their fury. They could've never have forseen the reign of terror unleashed with just three little words.....

Orange Man Bad
That totally reminds me of Stephen King, ironically a severe TDS case, from a poem in Skeleton Crew (copy pasta).... also, apologies:

Paranoid: A Chant
I can’t go out no more.
There’s a man by the door
in a raincoat
smoking a cigarette
But
I’ve put him in my diary
and the mailers are all lined up
on the bed, bloody in the glow
of the bar sign next door
He knows that if I die
(or even drop out of sight)
the diary goes and everyone knows
the CIA’s in Virginia
500 mailers bought from
500 drug counters each one different
and 500 notebooks
with 500 pages in everyone.
I am prepared.
* * *
I can see him from up here.
His cigarette winks from just
above his trenchcoat collar
and somewhere there’s a man on a subway
sitting under a Black Velvet as thinking my name.
Men have discussed me in back rooms.
If the phone rings there’s only a dead breath.
In the bar across the street a snubnose
revolver has changed hands in the men’s room
Each bullet has my name on it.
My name is written in back files
and looked up in newspaper morgues.
My mother’s been investigated;
than God she’s dead.
They have writing samples
and examine the back loops of pees
and crosses of tees.
My brother’s with them, did I tell you?
His wife is Russian and he
keeps asking me to fill out forms.
I have it in my diary.
Listen–
listen
do listen:
you must listen.
In the rain, at the bus stop.
black crows with black umbrellas
pretend to look at their watches, but
it’s not raining. Their eyes are silver dollars.
Some are scholars in the pay of the FBI
most are the foreigners who pour through
our streets. I fooled them
got off the bus at 25th and Lex
where a cabby watched me over his newspaper.
In the room above me an old woman
has put an electric suction cup on her floor
It sends out rays through my light fixture
and now I write in the dark
by the bar sign’s glow.
I tell you I know.
They sent me a dog with brown spots
and a radio cobweb in its nose.
I drowned it in the sink and wrote it up
in folder GAMMA.
I don’t look in the mailbox anymore.
The greeting cards are letter-bombs.
(Step away! Goddam you!
Step away. I know tall people!
I tell you I know very tall people!)
The luncheonette is laid with talking floors
and the waitress says it was salt but I know arsenic
when it’s put before me. And the yellow taste of mustard
to mask the bitter odor of almonds.
I have seen strange lights in the sky.
Last night a dark man with no face crawled through nine miles
of sewer to surface in my toilet, listening
for phone calls through the cheap wood with
chrome ears.
I tell you, man, I hear.
I saw his muddy handprints
on the porcelain.
I don’t answer the phone now,
have I told you that?
They are planning to flood the earth with sludge.
They are planning break-ins
They have got physicians
advocating weird sex positions.
They are making addictive laxatives
and suppositories that burn.
They know how to put out the sun
with blowguns.
I pack myself in ice–have I told you that?
It obviates their infrascopes.
I know chants and I wear charms.
You may think you have me but I could destroy you.
any second now.
Any second now.
Any second now.
Would you like some coffee, my love?
Did I tell you I can’t go out no more?
There’s a man by the door
in a raincoat.

Two things.
1. Considering how much of a shitshow Dem Senate recruitment efforts have been this cycle I'm seriously doubting their ability to win the Senate.
2. Wait so progressives are actually trying to claim that Dubya won 2000 because of the Clinton Impeachment?!
I mean know most of the TDS crowd were fucking toddlers at the latest during the 2000 election but trying to claim the Impeachment helped push Bush across the finish line is spectacularly moronic.
I mean I must have just imagined Bush losing the Popular Vote and his victory in the decisive State being..."Controversial".
Why are people so ignorant of their own recent history?:drink:

1. Howard Dean did well recruiting, but it meant having to hold one's nose and recruit centrist/center-right folks and that can be a monkey's paw type deal. IE for every Joe Manchin (who you have to constantly cat wrangle), you get a fucking Joe Lieberman who will actively stab you in the chest and smile as he's getting high fives from the GOP for doing so, but you can't do anything about it because he fucking know, you have to tolerate his constant backstabbing, because he will switch sides in a heartbeat if it amuses him and then start shooting you in the face instead of just stabbing you for the evilulz.

2. It's a new talking point being peddled by the left as of the last month and no one has really fucking pushed back on it with facts and rebuttals or the implications (IE the GOP, after impeachment backfired on them, said "fuck it" and outright stole the next Presidential election).

Best case scenario, is that they think that even a failed impeachment will cripple the Trump administration due to the combination of the investigation/trial bringing EVERYTHING to a screeching halt, but also the notion that even an acquittal will hurt Trump in the 2020 election.

Worse case scenario, it's sort of a "green light" type clarion call to their base that if they can't illegally pull off a coup, they will steal the 2020 or 2024 elections and most elections going forward.

That's not new. The 2000 election in Florida was when we first noticed. They kept recounting and recounting and oh look a whole closet full of ballots we didn't count and they're all for Gore whodathunk so let's add 'em in this time.

Then didn't it happen again in 2012 also in Florida where it was "discovered" (?) there were ballots stored in a warehouse that "they didn't know how they got there"? Could've sworn there was a report floating around about piles of military ballots being "uncovered" after the election, but it seems to have been memoryholed if true.

But Russian collusion totally cost them votes, IMPEACHMENT NOW.

This is interesting...why would any student taking history need to learn more about the 60's counterculture than, say, the rise of Ronald Reagan?

It's almost like they're trying to indoctrinate people.

To be fair, most history books from the early 90s to around the late 00s (when I was in high school, for context sake), gave Reagan a super positive edit history-wise. Basically all of the good shit he did, in so far as the text portraying Carter as a noble failure and Reagan being a zeitgeist President who saved America from the Debbie Downer 70s and made America great again. And winning the cold war.

Also, Reagan was recent history so not much had to be spent on him.

As for the 60s Counter Culture; it got a lot of page time because it was a huge cultural shift sort of thing plus it ties into the very negative "LBJ Bad Man" meme the entire left was pushing, in terms of LBJ being history's greatest monster who fucked everything up for the Democrats for nearly 20+ years with how he blotched Vietnam.

Even today, text books give Reagan a favorable edit minus stuff like his handling of the AIDS crisis or Iran Contra, the later of which is always painted Reagan fucked up and everyone tacitly forgave him because Ollie North martyred himself to protect Reagan from all blowback. One of the reasons, is that the Texas textbook industry (who make most of the history books people read) is notorious about how protective they are about Reagan and his legacy.

According to late modern American history, all the great panics seem to only last around only a few years. If you consider the TDS panic as starting in 2016, It's only been 3 ish years. There's still probably at least one more left I think.

Although we are starting to see the cracks form at this stage. A media driven panic can only be driven for so long.

The "End" will be when some source people deem authoritative tells them it's all bullshit or that times have changed, people will see the reality and most will move on, and then we can read the history books about this political shift and laugh heartily.

As for when, can't say exactly, but unless something happens, I think it will be the 2020 election. I see Trump winning and potentially picking up the popular vote due to people having realised the bullshit after 4 years and the democrats will have fractured their support by whomever gets out of the clown car.

Of course I'm probably wrong and dumb tho lol

You know what the best part of all this is really? That it is all archived. Every tweet, every video, every interview is going to be preserved so that when this all turns and celebs and political hacks try to walk it back people can throw every word in their face like rotting fruit at the town whore.

Gotta imagine there will be some notable suicides as well.

At this point, the only thing that will break the TDS madness will be if Trump is assassinated and it causes the powers that be to realize how they fucked up BADLY and lead to some massive 1984 level culling of pretty much EVERY major TDS element of society and TPTB also going full 1984 and rewriting history and the internet to remove all traces of their creating an environment of insanity that culminated in the first successful presidential assassination in 50+ years.

And they'll do it, because the murder of Trump by a left wing individual will lead to the Day of the Rope in terms of triggering full-on civil war. Only by pre-emptively killing off the lunatic left who set into motion the murder of Trump and ruining of careers of the lunatic lefties who fueled the fire and death camping by the left, onto the lunatic left, will make the average American not snap and going all Rwanda on the lunatic left's ass. Not to mention, memory holing an entire decade/half decade to erase all media hatred of Trump so they can rewrite history to make it seem EVERYONE but a mentally ill few hated Trump and how they were punished by annihilation when they murdered St Trump and using the Orwellian apparatus Bush II created, to silence/kill anyone who tries to reveal how TPTB basically created a lynch mob mentality to get one person to murder a sitting US President.

This gay autistic civil war larping crap is so fucking autistic.

What products are made in Mexico? Genuine question, I have absolutely no idea.

I know they have the cartels, but tariffs won't affect that.

The left has suddenly discovered economics by shrieking "Americans will pay for this, not Mexico!" Weird how they quickly gain understanding of basic economic concepts like passed-on expense when it comes to shrieking about Trump.

What products are made in Mexico? Genuine question, I have absolutely no idea.

Quite a lot, actually. The difference between Mexico and China is that a lot of times rather than admitting it's made in Mexico, what companies do is assemble the product 95% in Mexico, bring it across the border, they have some pass-through shop in America that puts finishing touches on it, and they slap a 'Made in America' sticker on it. Cars, clothes, various other appliances.

Here's a video

That's why I said "at the best of times". Really, the whole way we teach history is fundamentally incorrect and prone to all sorts of politically minded people trying to crowbar narratives into it, but that's a rant for another thread.

re: Bush v. Gore, the real takeaway from that campaign was that it takes a spectacular presidency for the next candidate to be able to run promising "more of the same" and win. That hasn't happened since H.W. Bush, and the electorate turned on him pretty quickly after electing him. The question for Biden 2020 is whether or not handing the opposition a turn at the wheel for one term is enough to bank on nostalgia for the former administration being enough to get elected on the same old shit.

Electorate didn't really turn on him so much as they went to Perot from the Republican camp in greater numbers than the Democrat camp. No Perot, no Slick Willy.
