Semi-Offtopic but why do Autists always want to downplay whenever people do something spectacular? Russell doing this reminded me of a tard I knew in High School that whenever anyone would win something their response would be to say "You didn't really win it. The only reason you won is the judges took pity on you, which means you shouldn't feel too proud about it." Are they that jealous they want to ruin someone's victory or have enough people told them that that they think that's how you treat people when the win things?

I think it's not just autism (#notallautists) but a combination of that and being a douche (i.e. Russ). Like, lots of people who aren't autistic will have similar thoughts. They might even express them behind the person's back. "Oh, yeah, of course Mary go the promotion, she's probably sucking the boss's dick and that's why, not because she has twice as much experience as me." But then you take that and combine it with autism and you have someone who wants to believe only they have merit AND lack the social sense to not blurt stupid shit out in front of the wrong people.
