Does anybody honestly believe Shane makes “96.5k/year”? If he’s pulling in close to $100k/year, and he is living like that, then he has some massive debts or levies sucking it down to nothing. His claim of $96.5k income is also amusing. For those that don’t own their own business, and have to deal with the taxes from such. $96.5k is the most common “fake income” number there is. Any time you hear that number stated as income you know it’s pure bullshit. It’s the highest income you can claim before the IRS bends you over. While at the same time being high enough to maintain your credit lines. So for most small business owners or self employed types, you massage the accounting as much as possible to hit, but not go over that number. (This is easy and perfectly legal to do. Most business owners avoid using all tax deductions to avoid reducing their credit lines.)
The unintended consequence is that $96.5k is also used for bragging rights by bullshit artists.
