He was saying "a lot of people are going to miss this and that's a shame because indie games are under-appreciated" basically and I'm just here like "Dude you weren't even going to buy the game at first, people had to donate like $300 to get you to buy it..."

If i recall correctly all the way through metal gear solid 3 he said nothing but negativity about the game then at the end of playthough said "i think it was a really good game" the guy shifts any viewpoint to save as much face with his audience as possible and keep his life stagnant and perpetually limping along

I think it would be faster to identify the games he didn't shit on only to later praise during his Hateful Truth segments:

There, I did it. Three easy-to-complete games, two with very few fail conditions, all three of which can be finished in around the average day for someone like Phil. Sensing a theme? Pay me.

Note that he doesn't really do this anymore, though not in the way you may think. He just stopped doing The Hateful Truth. Now it's all shit, all the time.

You do have a point, specially after the ELO Hell stream. However, what would your opinion be if he is just influenced by his unconscious bias?
In the case of ELO Hell, for example, because he finally got a sponsored stream, he would be more prone to accept the game, (on that particular day), and praise it, just because his overall emotions/state of mind was 'better' than other days, (dictated by an external factor), and he wouldn't know why this is.

Do you think that he's consciously lying, or maybe that he's such an incompetent at discerning why his brain is telling him what's good or bad, that would appear to everyone else that he's lying?
(I'm posting this as a hypothetical, I'm in no way defending his very suspicious actions.)

If Phil is a mentally healthy adult, he is consciously lying.

If Phil has some sort of personality disorder or developmental delay, it is possible his lies and excuses are automatic responses.

For example. A mentally healthy and mature adult mistakenly misunderstands tax laws and winds up owing several years back taxes. Do they blame everyone around them or do they take responsibility and try to fix the situation?

An average gamer picks up a new fighting game and keeps losing. Do they blame the controls and the game developers or do they keep playing and try to learn and get better?

This is why ELO Hell is such an oddity. If he was not getting paid he would have shot on this game so hard. Instead he compliments the developers for making such smart AI. Instead of calling the story outdated and dumb, it is a campy throwback to 90's sitcoms.

Then again he only played for an hour. Maybe he can control himself for a short amount of time. If it was an everyday thing he would lose his cool and start throwing a fit.

I've been meaning to mention this here for the past week, I just keep forgetting

You know the Vinesauce booru? If you don't know what that is, there is a streamer group called Vinesauce. They have an imageboard (booru) that is dedicated to fanart that they receive, all properly tagged. So I thought, why not create something simular for KF? There are a lot of threads in which, to put it frankly, the content/noise ratio is quite high. Also sometimes you just want to find a specific image that made you laugh and the search tools are not equipped properly for that. So here it is! https://kiwi.booru.org
For now I'll keep this in supporters, but if people actually end up using it I'll probably make a thread on the main forum in general discussion or something. The only rules are to tag your shit properly and not upload any illegal imagery aka loli/CP (duh)/bestiality/copyright images. I hope at least somebody gets some use out of this thing

I remember the site's owner Null talking about implementing something like this a while back, a way to search for media posted in a specific thread. He was even quite receptive to it.

I'm sure there's a thousand and one things higher on his list of priorities. As long as the uploads are properly tagged, I think https://kiwi.booru.org could be a good alternative way to keep track of all that stuff you can't search for with just text
