Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Casey also can't just recuse himself. Lawyers can't fire their clients without very good cause. Clients can fire their attorneys whenever.

Casey can fire his clients fairly easily at this stage. The Jury has not been seated, no testimony or even depositions have begun. It gets more complicated once the actual trial starts. If he were to do so it would probably be with regard to “failure to follow advise of council”. At least publicly. With a behind the scenes scenarios of the clients not playing completely straight with Casey. (Show of hands, who here thinks Casey knew of Ron’s Kamehacon TI before Nick published it?) Casey’s answer to the Judges question of “has your client stopped tweeting?” Was very telling. It wasn’t an affirmative. It wasn’t even an “I’ve spoken to him about it and he understands”. It was simply “I’ve asked him to stop”. Casey basically told the Judge “I have no control over this idiot, but have advised him to do the correct thing. If he listens is anybodies guess?” Casey’s response to the Judges question was not one of a happy lawyer.

I've been AFK due to travelling since Monday last week, can anyone give me a tldr of what's happened since then?

Casey Erick filed a slightly (emphasis on slightly) more competent MTQ Deposition Notice and Motion to Compel

Funimation filed their Notice of Rule 11 Agreement:

Marchi has posted her response:

A member of Nick's Discord channel was at the hearing, observing it:
Apparently, Chuck Huber was there observing, too.
Also, John Volney (Funimation's lawyer) was there observing the proceedings.

From what I could gather from Nick, he's been speaking with Ty (and Ty is going to be on his stream tonight) and it was mentioned that the Judge in question has stated that should things come to it he's more than willing to hold an emergency hearing a week or two if some fuckery happens, or at least I believe that was the statement made.

Honestly, I think it was abject incompetence of their lawyers not to try to get the judge recused because she openly and vociferously hated everyone on their side and made no secret of it, while ruling against them on virtually everything. It's a complete mystery to me why they didn't even try. Maybe just pure arrogance, or they thought a jury would somehow side with their asshole behavior and snarky city boy shit.

Maybe they thought that was about the best they could expect to get. When one of your clients says that he supposes he'd draw the line at releasing a sex tape of a celebrity under four years old you're not going to make yourself likable to anyone.

I think they all just lived in their own little bubble world for so long that it didn't occur to them. I suspect a lot of them were narcissists as well, which probably didn't help matters any. Reminds me of some other chucklefucks for some reason.

I don't know about them being narcissists (although maybe they are-- def assholes of the first order, though), but I think they (Nick Denton and AJ Daulerio) thought they were the funniest and edgiest mofo's on the face of the planet, not realizing that their audience members were not sitting on their jury. I mean, imagine the arrogance of saying as a response to a question in a trial that the victim would have to be under 4 not to print a sex tape. Their case was lost right there, and the funny thing was, I don't think either of them even realized it until too late.

Go look at Dentn’s Testimony regarding his beliefs regarding other people’s privacy. He’s a Sociopath that horrified the jury. And that was before the twit talking about publishing CP sex tapes so long as they were 4+.

In addition to what's already been mentioned, Ron and Monica's responses to interrogatories and documents requested are due on 10 June. Vic, Monica and Ron should now all be deposed some time during June.

Hehe, Ty Beard said on Nick Rekieta's stream tonight that he suggested to Vic that he change his name to "Vic Montana."

6 more days till something stupid happens; why do I feel that Shane the shoe eating imbecile's "Vic is still boned regardless if he wins" comment is right? Is my faith in humanity that low?

Anyone else hoping this shit ends soon so Nick can talk about something actually interesting? Haven't been able to get through one of his streams in almost a month because I'm so tired of hearing about this bullshit. My totally baseless opinion is that Vic is probably actually a creeper, but the way funimation and the cast of dragon ball is going about it is fucking retarded.

Pay no attention to idiots. All they have to offer is idiotic double-talk! Once Vic wins against this round of defendants, all the highly-suggestible cucks and the wahmen that believe wahmen will scuttle off to find some other fake sjw cause to get behind. Like the total fakery of "Russiagate," there may be some that hold on to the phony narrative, but that will ultimately be untenable. Once word of the verdict gets out to cons, Vic will always be welcome with open arms while the Rial's and Marchi's will be shunned like lepers, even if they manage to hold on to their contracting positions. Vic makes money for himself and others while those meetoo frauds don't. Vic is full of positivity and creativity while the other side are false accusers, destroyers and morons duped into piling on with them. The other side will admit nothing, even in total defeat. You can see it now with the never-ending movement of the goalposts. A win for Vic will be a total and absolute defeat for the defendants, period!

Full length Nick streams are unwatchable and the podcast version of his show is like a month behind. You be gotta sit down and scroll around for the recent parts.
If anyone would benefit from a podcast highlights channel, it would be him.

Making the case more accessible would be helpful for those out of the loop. There are so many characters and subplots that keeping up with all the twists and turns is practically a part-time job. Even the timestamps for Nick's videos are an incoherent mess.

It's somewhat correct, which is why such high damages are being sought.

Full length Nick streams are unwatchable and the podcast version of his show is like a month behind. You be gotta sit down and scroll around for the recent parts.

I listen to Nick's streams rather than watch them and I often bail after the first couple of hours. Sometimes I bail earlier. I keep an eye on the thread so that I can jump back on if something interesting happens later in the stream - which has happened on a few occasions.

Out of all the things you could attack the #Istandwithvic side it's literally one piece of text. Your side has a woman literally running away from the law, and a man inciting more reasons to be sued.
"But-but they're suing him for calling him literal shit!"
And also calling him a serial sexual assaulter and molester. Is it wrong to be thorough in what can be used as evidence of defamation?
