People like 9_Volt may as well be like the gamers they try to dunk on in that while the people they mock likely won't read a headline, 9_Volt and the like will do the same if it's on something they don't like.

Oh joy, can't wait for the usual suspects to dock the game some points for not being political enough, just like they did with Far Cry 5. Never mind that the game can be good fun or even makes a few points of political commentary, these asshats won't be pleased unless the game (or its marketing) goes full "Orange Man bad".

On the plus side, the game sounds interesting, so I'll keep my eye on it.

That's Nyle DiMarco, and eh. He's a deaf activist, and as @Brit Crust's post pointed out, there's a very solid case for sign languages to be considered their own languages, which leads to them having their own culture. My limit with deaf activists is when they start arguing against hearing aids or speaking aids for those who want them, or even actively wishing children will be born deaf/made deaf to be part of the community - and to my knowledge he holds neither of those positions.

His deaf sperging can be annoying, but he's not militant about it - and he's advocating for a real disability, rather that troonism or A Bad Case of the Tumblrs. As long as he stays at the level of just wanting deaf kids/people to learn ASL and laughing at the number of times airlines offer him a wheelchair, I think he's on the low end of the scale when it comes to Deaf Activism, he's just one of the most famous alive deaf people at the moment.

There's a dormant thread about the truly bizarre deaf advocates around the Farms somewhere, and reading that made me appreciate that he's much saner than he could be, so that may affect my views somewhat.

I'm rating that exceptionalism autistic, not you. Love seeing the repeatedly absurd campaigns to get nigs and chinks, and wogs and dune coons jammed into shit like this show and the Witcher and all the rest, even though it's not especially historically accurate.

People like this need to be treated as idiots wherever they go. This is like complaining that Boyz n the Hood or The Boondocks don't have enough white people in them when the reason is that they focus on the black disapora. No shit they mostly have black people in them.
