Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

As @TowinKarz said for the most part. But to expound a little, I guarantee you a big reason none of them's made a serious attempt is that to assassinate a President, or really any high-up political figure, you've essentially got to go into the attempt with the expectation of dying for it. Even if you don't, you're pretty much guaranteed a life sentence in a supermax prison, which might actually be the worse of those two options. And that's if you don't get assassinated yourself as payback by one of the figure's supporters, or by someone that wants to keep you quiet lest you make them look bad.

The reason this means there hasn't been and is unlikely to be any real attempts on Trump's life is that the vast majority of people that hate him are extreme narcissists. For all their raving about him destroying the world and instituting the Fourth Reich, not a single one of them thinks anything he's doing is more important than their personal comfort. Most of them wouldn't give up internet access or their Netflix accounts to oppose Trump, let alone their lives or freedom. None of these whiny children is going to risk spending the rest of their lives sleeping on a metal shelf when they can tweet about how Orange Man Bad from their memory foam mattress.

And before anyone brings up the idea that if both Trump and Pence got taken out, Pelosi would just smugly pardon the assassin(s), just ask yourself how many of these people you'd like to be in a Prisoner's Dilemma with. Because you know they'd all roll on the other party the first chance they got... but what's more, they all know they'd do that, and they're world-class projectors. Of course in this case they'd be right, Pelosi would absolutely leave them to rot and never even consider a pardon, nor would any Democrat President that came after. The assassin had served their purpose, why risk the bad optics just to save them, even if you appreciate their work? No Democrat's going to gamble on another Democrat's faithfulness or loyalty, let alone a creature like Pelosi.

And the fact he's silently been bumping-off the entire 9th Circuit one-by-one like they're in a B-grade horror film.....
There was a hearing today to replace more people in the 3rd Circuit, too. I love that the media is paying absolutely no attention to the way he's chiseling away at the judiciary. I would say that by the time they even notice that it's happening it'll be too late, but it already is.

Also, if any president was, frankly, stupid enough to pardon a Presidential assassin , for any reason, let alone the one who killed their predecessor, they'd have an administration endurance measured in minutes at worst and days at best before they got impeached or assassinated themselves.

There was a hearing today to replace more people in the 3rd Circuit, too. I love that the media is paying absolutely no attention to the way he's chiseling away at the judiciary. I would say that by the time they even notice that it's happening it'll be too late, but it already is.

The left's inherent focus on top-down supreme-executive power as the big "win" condition means they miss the rank-and-file changes below that completely undo it all.

They're too focused on schmoozing in the board room so they can be named as the new CEO of a company and are too busy daydreaming all the lofty things they'll accomplish once in charge that they fail to notice that group of foreign investors buying up a majority share in the stock....

How the hell has no one tried to assassinate him yet? People are going insane about the Orange man more than any other president but no one's actually done anything.

Maybe some have tried:

The man arrested for trying to disarm a police officer inside a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas Saturday told authorities he intended to use the gun "to kill Trump," according to a new criminal complaint.
Police arrested the 19-year-old after he attempted to pull a police officer's gun from its holster inside a Las Vegas theater where Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, was holding a campaign rally.
Police said Michael Sandford, a Briton, struck up a conversation with a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer under the pretense that he was seeking to get an autograph. During the conversation, police said Sandford tried to pull the officer's service weapon from its holster.

A court sketch of Michael Sandford.
Other officers also assigned to provide security at the event were quickly able to detain Sandford and authorities said there was no further disruption to the event.
Sandford told police that he drove to Las Vegas from California "to kill Trump," according to the complaint, after hearing a few days earlier in the news that he was expected there.
He was in the country illegally, his visa having expired. He had been living out of his car in California for a month, according to CNN affiliate KSNV.
On June 17, he practiced shooting a gun for the first time at a gun range in Las Vegas.
"(Sandford) further stated that if he were on the street tomorrow, he would try this again," reads the complaint, obtained by CNN. "Sandford claimed he had been planning to kill Trump for about a year but decided to act on this occasion because he finally felt confident about trying it."
He made an appearance before a federal judge Monday, and has been charged with committing a violent act in a restricted area, according to KSNV. A message left with his attorney was not immediately returned.
Sandford also told authorities that had he not tried to assassinate Trump at the Las Vegas event, he had planned to go to his next rally, in Phoenix, Arizona, and try again there.
Trump is under U.S. Secret Service protection but local law enforcement often supplements them at campaign events.

The Secret Service says it has charged Sandford with violating two federal laws following the incident, including assault, and he could face up to a decade in prison if convicted. Because he was considered a flight risk, a judge on Monday ordered him to stay in custody until his next court appearance, which is a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 5.
Many of Trump's rallies throughout the campaign have been contentious, with protests both inside and outside the events. Secret Service agents had to run to Trump's side during a campaign rally earlier this year in Ohio to protect him against a man attempting to rush the stage during his remarks.
The Secret Service said other charges are still pending and the incident remains under investigation.

Maybe...

MAAAAYBE...

Odd that none of these really make the news...hrm...I'm sure they are all misunderstandings...

He's the one of the most protected man on the planet. This is way different from suckerpunching some guy or throwing a milkshake at them. Not only is actually being able to hurt the president unlikely considering the power gap between your average twitter warrior and a Secret Service agent, but you can kiss your comfy life goodbye if you try. They're not crazy enough to ruin their lives over this when they can feel just as good #resisting on twitter.

I would gladly pay any amount of money to have a livestream to Khan attempting to lead a small contingent of the Met in attempting to arrest Trump. I can't even begin to imagine how hilarious that failure would be, and only thing that would be even more hilarious would be if Trump just went along with it 'to spare my Secret Service from getting blood on their knuckles' and go smiling to London lockup. If only so that he could get the satisfaction of having the US military beat the fuck out of the British.

Again.

John Doe, you totally win the Internet for all time. I love your "Again." We say that all the time. That and the fact that we kicked the UK's ass in the 1700s and again in 1812. Yet whenever they run into any problems (i.e. Germany) they whine and carry on until we help them out. My God after WWII we were shipping food and supplies to them (and just about any other European country that was bombed to shit during the war) and they can't show the least bit of gratitude by showing a little decorum when a sitting President visits?

So, Khan and Herr Soros of the Nazi Regime and the rest of you losers learn to not bite the hand that feeds your ass. By the way, I thought they didn't have freedom of speech in the UK? I thought if you said something that offended someone you got arrested by the non-gun toting police?

I used to really admire GB, but as the decades have gone by and I watch how much they are so willing to give up their own homeland so easily, I'm less than impressed with them.

Although when it comes to pomp and circumstance, they are pretty good.

Our objective was not met by the Treaty of Ghent. Also, they burned our capital, not we theirs.

True, the War of 1812 was a short term defeat and overall would be a stalemate in retrospect for the United States military history that ultimately achieved very little for either side (although the Monroe Doctrine and Canada remaining in the British Commonwealth had their roots in the war)

Although the only reason why the British didn't fully retake the former Thirteen Colonies after they burned down DC is because Napoleon was keeping the bulk of their military tied up in Europe for most of the war.

Most of the enemy combatants that America was facing in the War of 1812 were Native Americans paid off by Britain and pissed off Canadian militia.

The iconic tales of Andrew Jackson taking New Orleans from the British Army and the burning of DC were among the few major events in the War of 1812 where actual Redcoats were present on American soil.

IIRC, I think the British pillaged DC around the same time Napoleon was held captive in Elba

Assuming not a troll, and expounding on @Jigglyjogglers and @TowinKarz :

Someone who can penetrate modern presidential protection at will doesn't come out of no where; or more specifically, the last modern assassination attempt that got anywhere (Reagan) was a mentally ill person who did come out of no where. And Hinkley was an utter failure; missing Reagan with all his shots, and only managing a serious wound due to a lucky ricochet.
He was only able to get that far because he never made any threats against Reagan, and by all accounts never felt any ill-will towards him; Ronnie's death was simply to be a means the end of getting in Jody Foster's pants.

Most crazies tip their hand and get a visit, and a photographing, by the Secret Service. Most crazies are also crazy to someone before they start obsessing over the president, so there's usually other incidents. Before the president shows up, Secret Service and Local Law Enforcement know who the loonies are in a town before they arrive and are the look out for them.

That's the crazies. Regarding the highly skilled, If you go to the range and start practicing on what looks like assassinating someone, you're going to raise some eyebrows, someone's going to call someone. You'd need to hone your skill in complete isolation and perfect it in the 4-8 years a president will be in office. And that's before getting into the logistics of actually defeating security enough to be able to get close.

Also the War of 1812 was strategic victory but a tactical defeat for the British. They spent a lot of money and men and their only real accomplishment was showing they were willing and able to defend Canada. Even without Napoleon, the British realized that their colonies were too far gone, and any attempt to retake the territory would not be worth the cost of coin & blood (but mainly coin).

The real effect of the War of 1812 was more subtle and economic: Britain realized just how badly they needed economic access to the USA.

Off topic a bit, but lol at that fat stupid mick Bannon shitting the bed with his meme war monestary. Yet more proof he needed trump far more than trump needed him.

https://news.artnet.com/art-world/i...nastery-school-far-right-nationalists-1563613

Of course, the alt-right thinks he's great, because he's also a do-nothing internet loser who thinks blogging will save the west. I bring this up bc Bannon getting ousted has been a major source of TDS butthurt on the alt-right (according to them, Javanka did it).

Which I always found stupid, because both of those guys are clearly dumbshits. Bannon is a pretentious fake, like Al Bundy if he got into wearing fedoras and misquoting Sun Tzu on facebook. I see right through his "oh look at me, I bookmarked the wikiquotes for camp of the saints on my phone, I M So Smrt" bullshit. Listen to him talk, and it's clear his only coherent ideas are lifted from smarter people.

J Kush, meanwhile, is maybe 2 notches above a latter day hapsburg in terms of smarts. Neither of them could manipulate their way out of a paper bag.

So, Khan and Herr Soros of the Nazi Regime and the rest of you losers learn to not bite the hand that feeds your ass.

Look at this sentence again. Remember that they belong to groups that were our enemies during WW2, and who have never stopped thinking of us that way.

I just wish the British would step up and stop letting foreigners speak for/over them. But I guess it's a bit much to ask of a nation that was conquered by French-speaking Norsemen and never really recovered from it.

Let em whine. The fact that we don't even dignify it with a response probably drives Kahn and company more nuts than the fact we don't act like the Tin Pot Dictators and Militant Ayatollahs who respond to every unflattering portrayal of them in media with retraction demands under pain of terrorism while one of THEIR OWN citizens tore down the mocking balloon..... when we just smile and go on with life while they yell and scream and flail spasmodically with "YOUGUYSBAD" signs, to no effect, ought to show you who the real buffoons are.

And as a side note, the War of 1812 just might have been the most popular war in the history of humanity. No borders changed, no land was lost, no governments felled, and all three sides (British, Canadian, American) came away convinced THEY won it......

Some more Hollywood TDS.

Donald Trump may be the most hated president in Hollywood since...well...ever. In the last month celebrities from Bill Maher to Cher have wished the worst, most vile things on the current president.

Maher hoped First Lady Melania Trump would divorce her husband. Singer/actress Cher wanted to see Trump impeached, “locked up” and assaulted in prison.

Author Fran Lebowitz claimed “impeachment” was just the “beginning of what he deserves” as she fantasized that Trump would be turned “over to the Saudis” to be tortured to death.

New state laws intended to protect the rights of the unborn drew the ire of actors, comedians and producers as they hurled epithets at Republicans as they envisioned that a real-life version of The Handmaid’s Tale was being ushered in by conservatives.

The following is just a sampling of the worst outbursts (this past month) from Hollywood:

[LANGUAGE WARNING]

Trump Is Haunting Their Dreams Now

“One of the things I stopped doing is do not read the news at night because I was waking up in the middle of the night from nightmares of just screaming. I had one dream....I was in a boardroom. There was a long table, and it was just the guy who’s in the Oval Office right now sitting there, and I walked in, and I was screaming, screaming, don’t you care about the next gen....I was going crazy at him and screaming and yelling, and that was 2016. I woke up in a sweat and I went, ‘Oh, my God I’ve gone insane and I have to stop reading the news at night.’”
The Good Wife and ER actress Julianna Margulies on CBS’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert, May 20.

Turn Trump Over to Saudis to Be Tortured to Death

“Impeachment would be just the beginning of what he deserves, you know, not even scratching the surface of what he deserves....I think we should turn him over to the Saudis, you know, his buddies. The same Saudis, you know, who got rid of that reporter. You know, maybe they could do the same for him.”
— Author Fran Lebowitz on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, May 17.

Wishing Trump Gets Sexually Assaulted in Prison
“Been Giving IMPEACHMENT MUCH Thought Throughout The Day,& I Would *love* 2 See trump Impeached, Brought 2 Trial, *locked* Up In *prison* & Toy Boy [of] Big Bubba!!”
— May 30 tweet by singer/actress Cher.

Dumb and Dumber Star Pontificates on GOP

“But at the end of the day, aside from, ‘Yeah, I don’t want to pay taxes,’ it’s race. It’s race. This is about – this is about the Republican party – or a wing of it going ‘this is our last chance to save the party.’ And if we don’t, it’s the end of the Republican party and the only way they can do that was to tap the race button and say ‘go ahead, it’s okay.’ And he [Donald Trump] did, and they did. That was the only card they had left to play and they played it and they aren’t going to go quietly.”
— Actor Jeff Daniels on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, May 20.

“The fact that this guy, this president has completely soiled the Oval Office. Soiled the presidency. And you’ve got a lot of people – and I keep looking at them. I go, ‘when is enough enough?’”
— Actor Jeff Daniels on MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, May 30.

Triggered By Tiger Woods Normalizing “Monster” Trump

“I hate that they normalize a man [Donald Trump] who is so abnormal...His approach to the way he speaks, the things that he believes. That there were 500 prosecutors who said if he weren’t president he should be indicted – 500! You can’t get 500 prosecutors...to agree on anything....Tiger Woods took a moment and forgot the significance of it and took time to normalize a monster.”
— Former CNN host and comedian D.L. Hughley discussing Tiger Woods receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Donald Trump, as aired on TV One’s The D.L. Hughley Show, May 7.

Pro-Abortion Actors Rage Against Pro-Life Republicans
“I love the people of Alabama and want to punch their politicians in the cock.”
— May 14 tweet by Comedy Central’s The Daily Show creator Lizz Winstead.

“Stay out of our snatches you bastards.”
— May 15 tweet by TBS’s Full Frontal host Samantha Bee.

“Again. Misogyny is the reptilian brain stem of right wing ideology. It is not a bug. It is the feature. Wake. The. Fuck. Up.”
— May 15 tweet by actor Bradley Whitford.

The Handmaid’s Tale is Real Now
handmaidstale.jpg
Host Brian Stelter: “Everyone, as they watch Handmaid’s Tale, thinks about what’s happening in this country right now. How close, or how far, do you think America really is to the fictional Hellscape of Gilead?”
Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale actress Ann Dowd: “A heck of a lot closer than we were season one, which is terrifying.”
Stelter: “Only a couple of years ago, the country’s gone that far backwards?”
Dowd: “When I saw what was going on in Georgia, I literally thought this can’t be real. It stunned me the degree to what’s going on in the anti-abortion world. I just thought this can’t be America.”
— CNN’s Reliable Sources, June 2.

“Margaret Atwood wrote a speculative fiction 35 years ago. However, she created that world, that world of Gilead, all by using historical fact....It’s a really important warning. We were seeing the rise of the alt-right, Brexit was certainly on the horizon. And now a few years later, we’re feeling it’s arrived. We’re in a very, very slippery slope to Gilead right now....We shot on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. And it was chilling, because as we were trying to do content that is about human rights and protecting women’s rights, over in the Rose Garden they were talking about eliminating them.”
— Former NBC entertainment chief Warren Littlefield, now Executive Producer of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale as aired on CNN’s Reliable Sources, June 2.

What Happened to Dave? He Used to Be Funny

“There, he seemed like a guy. Were I ever to get the chance to talk to him in person – and I won’t live long enough for that to happen – but I would say, ‘When did you become a goon? When did that happen? You used to be just like a guy.’”
— Former CBS Late Show host David Letterman on ABC’s The View, May 31.

Trump and Rupert Murdoch’s Wives Must Divorce Their Husbands to Save the World
“Divorce is always easier in pairs. What if you had a buddy Melania? Because there’s also a former model, who’s also married to a super-rich Republican monster. Mrs. Rupert Murdoch, Jerry Hall. And you two have a lot in common: Your husbands are ruining the world....Jerry, you left Mick [Jagger] because he was fucking everything that moved, but Rupert’s fucking the whole planet. The axis of evil in the world now is Trump and Fox News.”
— Host Bill Maher on HBO’s Real Time, May 10.

TL; DR: "He used to be good as a moderate, until he ran as a Republican and stood for conservative issues. He's now a goon and a figure of an evil in our perception for just that reason alone."
Just further proof retards are treating politics like sports teams and that if Trump had won the Dems the White House instead they'd all be kissing his ass.

Apparently there's a Yahoo article saying that Bette Midler hoped that someone in Trump's administration would "give him the shiv" and later compared her feud to the Battle of the Bulge.

Just days after Cher walked back a controversial tweet about Donald Trump becoming a “toyboy” in prison — which she later acknowledged was “wrong”Bette Midler is sparking outcry with a joke his supporters claim to be a violent threat.
The singer and actress, who has frequently decried the Trump administration on Twitter, posted a series of tweets insulting the president on Tuesday. After Midler expressed support for London Mayor Sadiq Khan and noted the city’s anti-Trump protests, POTUS fired back with a scathing tweet of his own.
The president called Midler a “washed-up psycho” and a “sick scammer” and cited a past incident in which the Beaches star had mistakenly attributed a quote to him.

Washed up psycho @BetteMidler was forced to apologize for a statement she attributed to me that turned out to be totally fabricated by her in order to make “your great president” look really bad. She got caught, just like the Fake News Media gets caught. A sick scammer!

Now it’s almost 2 in the morning where you are and you’re rage tweeting about Bette Midler. On the eve of the D Day anniversary. She’s an award winning talent while you are a demented, syphilitic slug, a boil on the ass of humanity. Oh, and a criminal to boot. Sad!#Trumpresign
— Lesley Abravanel (@lesleyabravanel) June 5, 2019
It Bette Midler apologized for making a false statement, that puts her miles ahead of you and everyone on your staff. Make no mistake, what you take to be a weakness, is exactly what makes her better than you by far.

To be fair, it's not that different to you spreading lies about Obama's birth certificate. Remember that classic?

It's a good thing your wife is against bullying...#BeBest

Nice way to commemorate D Day U worthless twatnozzle @realDonaldTrump. Bette Midler 2020😜🖕
— Diane Warren (@Diane_Warren) June 5, 2019
The President of the United States is engaged in a public battle of namecalling with an actress. Because he has the time, the inclination and, most of all, a keen sense of his role & purpose in our national narrative. This is what needs doing right now. For America and the world. https://t.co/oXUs3rBLR7
— David Simon (@AoDespair) June 5, 2019
Midler, however, fired back with another tweet at his expense. But Trump supporters say she went too far by referencing a “shiv,” a sharp, makeshift knife typically used by prisoners to stab someone.
Piggy-backing off Michael Moore’s tweet slamming the casual golfing outfit Trump wore to church last Sunday, Midler cracked that “maybe someone in his camp can gently give him a shiv.”
She added, “I mean, shove.”

He actually looks better here! Maybe someone in his camp can gently give him a shiv. I mean, shove. https://t.co/GDdrF3Zfry
— Bette Midler (@BetteMidler) June 5, 2019
“Bette Midler owning Trump is what I live for,” one fan said of the tweet.
But Trump supporters aren’t laughing. Conservatives are reporting Midler and accusing her of encouraging an attack on the president.
“You'd go through a case of Depends if someone joked about an Obama staffer giving him a shiv,” conservative Cameron Gray replied. “Try not to be such f***ing garbage.”

@CIA @FBI @SecretService, @BetteMidler just made a public threat to our president, @realDonaldTrump. Just a heads up.
— Jack (@JCD84x) June 5, 2019
The replies are filled with people with their pants at their ankles fapping over the thought of someone giving Trump a shiv

Trump hasn’t responded to Midler’s comeback. With luck, he’ll cool off in time to meet the queen and Prince Charles for Wednesday’s event marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
Later on Wednesday, Midler took to Twitter again to thank her supporters and joked that her feud with Trump was her “personal Battle of the Bulge.”

I want to thank everyone who came to my defense last night during my personal Battle of the Bulge with he who must not be named. Your wit and good nature really lifted my spirits; as a newly washed up psycho, I am very grateful for your thoughts and prayers.
