The key difference is that Christianity was able to succeed because it's core foundation is built on being able to redeem yourself and achieve a form of salvation in the next life.

SJW Identity Politics has its own form of original sin, but not any real form of salvation or redemption in any sense of the word and given the militant atheism of most SJW's, there isn't even an afterlife where you can be rewarded for virtue signalling or your Oppression Olympics score.

In Christianity, the basic assumption is that there's a carrot at the end of the stick (even if it's in the afterlife) while SJW's only have the stick

That's why Christianity has been around since Classical Antiquity and is still a major religion today despite the secularization of the Western World and will probably still exist in one form or another long after any of us on this forum are dead and gone.

Meanwhile, the SJW movement didn't even truly take on a coherent unified form until the Occupy protests in 2011 (at least on the national level) and we're slowly starting to see a major push-back against it.

The decade isn't even over yet and cracks are finally appearing in the wall of the SJW cult mentality.

While SJW culture has precedents in other movements, and aside from Marxism and the early anarchism expressed by guys like Bakunin and Kropotkin, most of these ideologies date to the post-WWII era at the earliest and many of these precedents (such as Critical Race Theory or Intersectional Feminism) are largely post-Cold War

For fuck's sake, most Millennial SJW's may tout Anarcho-Communist drivel but probably don't even know who Kropotkin is, let alone read any of his books (finding a Millennial SJW who has read anything other than Harry Potter and maybe Hunger Games is a bit of a crapshoot) and most only know Marx because the Bolshevik Revolution and the crimes of the Soviet Union ensured Marx's place in the history books in the same way that the Nazis ensured Nietzsche's ideas were forever enshrined in history.

The Nazis grossly misinterpreted the writings of Nietzsche at best, while the Soviets were honestly trying to implement the writings of Marx IRL to the letter.

Never underestimate the effect The Very Hungry Caterpillar can have on a growing child's mind.

(I believe they'll have read other books, but that they constantly and only reference the most popular of YA fiction instead of anything else is very indicative on what influences their thinking. That they've read any of the texts they unknowingly draw reference from is, of course, extremely unlikely. Plus, I just wanted to make the caterpillar joke.)

I think in her case, the only way she can be happy is by believing the others around her are trying to make her UN-happy....... ever look at the obituaries and wonder why some people die at 43 of something other than an acute illness or accidents? It's that, they're burning themselves out on the inside on white-hot hatred at the rest of the world that they've long since forgotten the source of, but to abandon it would mean having nothing else to do.

Christianity as a whole has also been shown to be adaptable and willing to compromise. * see mainstream Christianity's acceptance of homosexuality and softer takes on suicide and marriage to the ire of the more hardline sects *
