As another poc who's queer I'm shocked they thought it'd be inclusive to add black and brown. It's not only in poor taste given how contrasting those colors are to vibrant rainbows, but to bring down people who are dark skinned as either being black as night or shit brown isn't a good look. But, I'll wait for the fifty shades of brown someone will push for to be added. I'm sure someone has made a gay pride flag with the majority being brown and black tones.

oh i'm glad people agree the extra black+brown lines are both distracting and very demeaning.. dunno about others but i personally don't like being reduced to a fucking poopoo colour LOL. the only instances i've seen that flag used in art were from white kids with saviour complexes but i'm glad it hasn't gained much traction in general

Nope. Found the designs via the remade transtuck blog, tranzstuck. I don't know what happened to the old one or when but the new one began just this month.

The designs seem to be a favorite of "Mod Goblin" who has a lot of them on private

I have mixed feelings about pride month. I hate how it’s paraded around the interned as something VERY VERY IMPORTANT (it might as well be but I don’t care about it) but it includes a lot of made up sexualities and genders... But I love how it has so many shit art.

Obligatory Hamilton drawing... Seriously why do they draw them as gay, black, etc? They (as in, the real Alexander Hamilton and the other founding fathers) were slave owners and homosexuality was forbidden at the time.

Ugh... Again, why don't they make ocs? Not only would that mean not butchering up someone else's characters, but also it feels alot more rewarding to focus on your own world and ocs. I know, i know, it gives them more attention that way, but you won't be remembered as someone who created this cool world on their own, but as a leech that took someone else's idea and profited off that.
I found out the hard way that focusing too much on fanart feels good at first but when you look back at it after some time, you wish you spent more time on your own ideas instead of that.

1 - They are bereft of fresh ideas
2 - They don't have the skills to design characters and rely on others as a crutch
3 - Using a known character means insta-recognition and guaranteed views/clicks by fellow fans, regardless of what they think of this injected political stance that's probably counter to the canon of the original work.
4 - Resistance from people who say that SJWism isn't part of that character's being means you get to be "victimized" by their "negativity" which is the currency of the IDpol movements, if you aren't getting death threats on the internet (or mocked which is just as bad) then you aren't doing it right

Ironically I cant think of many super popular fanartists who do things like this beyond a gay flag or making the skin a little brown. Turns out people are kind of biased to look at pretty characters.

This looks like they referenced off the actors in the musical themselves, which, honestly? Really not a big deal. I’ve seen people randomly change them all to black or make them even darker rather than legitimately just drawing the actor renditions, and that’s far more cringeworthy.

(Also, the real historical Hamilton was Very Gay or at the least bisexual. There are romantic letters between him and someone whose name I forget cause it’s unmemorable but definitely a dude)
