If he uses a bank that has an app it most likely has a setting for it. Many banks also offer text alerts for overdraft warnings as well. Getting one in the wee hours of the morning isn't unusual either, as payments can clear at odd times (like when an Amazon order ships, for example šŸ¤” )

Not saying any of this is true, certainly, but it is plausible, which is the problem with many of Phil's lies.
Then, in his case, it should literally ring like a fire alarm during an unboxing. And never stop.

Why the hell doesn't DSP have his "bills" all charged to a credit card and then he pays the credit card once a month? Are all his credit cards THAT maxed out? Does Kat have no credit cards nor any ability to get any?

I feel like if we went back the last six months, DSP has claimed that he has a bill due literally every other day of the calendar month.

Is there a thing like an overdraft alarm app? Like fire alarm when you have to leave the building in the next minutes? You have make a shit load of money the next minutes?

My bank will text me when I get to a certain amount of money left in my account. Funnily enough it also reminds me to make sure I have enough money to cover any upcoming bills.

When you have a dozen credit card payments spread out across every month, plus a half-dozen subscription services, plus two mortgages, plus utilities, in fairness that's more than half the days every month if he's paying one a day. And you know he has to delay to pay it all with those precious tips (that he gets right away!), so living in the hell he created for himself and paying at least one bill every other day seems not entirely out of the question.

Also, he probably can't charge all his regular bills to a credit card because they're all maxed. Womp womp.

Maybe I'm overthinking this, and DSP just keeps begging because it works.

Since DSP has shown that he is not above begging for money, why doesn't he have one "marathon" stream dedicated to paying off one of his credit cards, like one of his small ones? Something with a $2K limit. Then he can start using it to put the rest of his non-credit card bills onto?

He would start that as a goal and tells everyone a week later that it had to go to the bills right away (at least this is the narrative, it could also go to a nice hotel room). I know that, you know that, everyone knows that, it's common knowledge at this point.

I want to say that he'd feel the need to advertise it as such in order to convince people to turn out their pockets, and that "pay my credit card bills, dood!" would be too flagrant a TOS violation for Twitch to continue to ignore but I'm pretty sure at this point he could just put "BUY ME A NEW CAR" as his tip goal and they'd still turn a blind eye.

I'm sorry, my brain keeps trying to look for solutions to DSP's problems reactively, but then I remember that DSP NEEDS to have crises in his life to keep everyone under control.

Keep the crises rolling. Incompetence is a great way to do this: If the office system routinely works badly or the controlling partner routinely makes major mistakes, you're guaranteed ongoing crises. Poor money management works well, too. So does being in an industry where the clients are guaranteed to be volatile and flaky, or preferring friends who are themselves in perpetual crisis. You can also institutionalize regular crises: Workers in the Sea Org, the elite wing of Scientology, must exceed the previous week's production every single week or face serious penalties. Because this is impossible, it guarantees regular crises as the deadline approaches.

Regular crises perform two functions: They keep people too busy to think, and they provide intermittent reinforcement. After all, sometimes you win—and when you've mostly lost, a taste of success is addictive.

But why wouldn't people eventually realize that the crises are a permanent state of affairs? Because you've explained them away with an explanation that gives them hope.

Things will be better when... I get a new job. I'm mean to you now because I'm so stressed, but I'm sure that will go away when I'm not working at this awful place.

The production schedule is crazy because the client is nuts. We just need to get through this cycle, then we'll have a new client, and they'll be much better.

She has a bad temper because she just started with a new therapist. She'll be better when she settles in.

Now, the first person isn't actually looking for a job. (They're too stressed to fill out applications.) The second industry always has another crazy client, because all the clients are crazy. (Or better yet, because the company is set up to destroy the workflow and make the client look crazy.) The third person has been with her ā€œnewā€ therapist for a year. (But not for three years! Or five!) But the explanation sounds plausible, and every now and then the person has a good day or a production cycle goes smoothly. Intermittent reinforcement + hope = ā€œSomeday it will always be like this.ā€ Perpetual crises mean the person is too tired to notice that it has never been like this for long.

For anyone still guessing, the "Unofficial Discord" was gay ops as expected. Chancla completed his mission and peaced out. Likely was comparing detractor discord members (which he was also on) to members on the "Unofficial Discord" which it was very clear was only distributed to detractors from the start.

Phil said he used the stein when he drank water from a Brita filter but stopped after three or four years as he had been getting heartburn. He drank bottled water and stopped getting heartburn.
imagine being such a pussy that water causes discomfort
i'm sure his brain was freaking out because it wasn't something sugary.

Not even attempting to keep his dignity anymore, is he?
what is dignity?
can you eat it?
can you use it to pay for a staycation or toys?
can you keep it around to look like a big boy adult?
if not, then phil doesn't want it

Is it even normal to be getting these alerts at 3 in the morning? You'd have to be making purchases / payments for that to go off at that moment, and it'd be pretty weird for a bank to be alerting you about it half a day later. This is just as dumb as him spending hours blocking fraudulent transactions on his credit card at 5 in the morning or whatever the hell that mini drama was.

Because $2K won't actually pay off one of his credit cards. Based on his monthly minimum payments the dude has conservatively $125-250K in credit card debt at minimum. Unless he has 50+ credit cards, they all have balances in the tens of thousands of dollars range.

As @Pargon pointed out earlier (or in another thread), there might be truth to it. Most payments process at night time (let's say Amazon shipping out stuff), so you COULD give him the benefit of the doubt.
It's not unlikely nor unusual.

I'm pressing X to doubt that he was woken up. He banned Saru and KingofGahlfHD at 1:23 AM his time. Tweeted his overdraft alert at 2:42 AM. Up to you to decide which is more likely, that Phil went to bed immediately after all the drama in his chat, or that he stayed up another hour doing bullshit and then saw the overdraft alert.

Again, in fairness, drinking crappy water long-term can fuck you up to minor degrees. Not dystentery-from-drinking-animal-poop-water bad but it ain't the best for you. God knows how drinking from something whose filter is supposed to be changed in a matter of weeks and not years (fuck me what a retard) could exacerbate things.

That said, heartburn can be caused by a number of things, not the least of which are a shitty diet and excessive consumption of alcohol. But I'm sure that doesn't sound like anyone we know.

The carrot on a stick. He's been talking about credit card debt since like 2015. He gets thousands a month so imagine how chunky this debt must be.

Nice to see Phil interacting with 2 of his top fans, Derich and Papavera

As far as this overdraft business, I'll belive it when I see it. As I have said before, years and years of begging and crying broke but still living the exact same way with the exact same bills as when he first moved there. He has not made a single sacrifice to show he is actually broke. All we ever get is his word of mouth with no proof of anything
