I know Hero Hei and I discussed it on stream and I'm pretty sure I've written about it here. But if I haven't the TL;DR is mismanagement of funds, inappropriate behavior and all around incompetence.

He was allowed to resign in lieu of being fired so he crows about how he quit which is technically true. He also came about one FB post from a libel suit afterward but, in a rare moment of wisdom, retracted the stuff.

He loves to talk about how "everyone" knew about Vic while carrying a reputation for drunkenness, womanizing and allegedly has done so with some under the age of consent. I know he approached one of my own daughters and that was a mistake as she made him afraid. He flirted with my wife and she thought it was pitiful and somewhat amusing but cemented her distaste for him.

He definitely covered up for friends and as I have written before and completely invalidated a criminal investigation by interfering.

He has fondled one female staff member that I witnessed, there is another I am aware of but neither made an official complaint.

He is "well known" (alleged) to have participated in clothing optional pool parties along with open relationships.

He posted a downshirt picture of another female on staff working at a computer and then posted it on FB, embarrassing her.

Entangled and married a sweet little girl at least 18 years his junior.

There's misspending of A-Kon money with a clear favoritism to friends. Accused someone else of sex with a minor that was unfounded but that sap is too much of an idiot to cut it off woth Shane.

Nothing to hide? He may be too shameless to want to hide it. I rather believe the Biblical principle of those that are guilty of sin seeing it in everyone else and pointing outward. Oh yeah, he's an idiot.

Maybe but I can't confirm that. I've been around A-Kon for about 9 years, in the periphery until about 2012-2013. Didn't realize there was a Shane until about 2014. By then I knew who most of the central players were and Shane and his FIL were most certainly acquainted. The assumption that he new his wife then is probably correct. He definitely knew her in 2016 as she was working with his staff.

I have my speculations based on other static and observation but it's just that, speculation and surmising. There's plenty of that here and it's at least as reasonable as guesses than I could add with whatever small disjointed info that I possess.

Bishop @Shane_Yes_That_One is and always has been at the center of sexual misconduct allegations and the Phoenix ran A-Kon didn't do anything affirmative to stop or mitigate it. In fact it's only been the last 4-5 years that anything meaningful started being put in place to protect the attendees (and staff). It got too big to fast for amateurs to run very quickly and it eventually buried Mary and Dean financially.

Still, I wouldn't call it a "hotbed". Like the bad cop stories we get, those events were a very small percentage of the overall events and attendee population. But they are so outrageous and scandalous that they make the "news".

Since the Weeb wars, in between the LOLs, there has been some true insight. Another possibility has begun to emerge and it finally cemented in my autistic mind watching TUG's stream on Anime Matsuri and their retention of the Beard.

In many conversations with @Shane_Yes_That_One I have heard time and time again about his fascination (obsession?) with Monica Rial. Her last time at A-Kon was 2008 IIRC. I have since heard her say in a video "I don't do A-Kon" in reference to a question about when she might return.

So what of that? @Shane_Yes_That_One followed Kristen McGuire around like a puppy in 2017, I wonder if he did that to Rial in 2008 and does that have anything to do with him stalking her during the con?

Fast forward to the Weeb Wars and the one consistent reciprocation is Bishop liking her Tweets and her in turn liking his; especially those that pontificate on Vic's "degeneracy" or the fallacies in the lawsuit against her.

TL;DR Shane is still obsessed with Monica Rial and his posts get her attention in "likes".

I think Nick and Ty kind of joked about that post KC event coverage. They were talking about Monica feeling unsafe at KC with lots of On/Off duty cops there and if they needed to arm themselves up there was probably a Gun Show close by the event since it is Texas.

Anybody still have that archive with MoRon stating their attorney was going to be Casey?

I am under the impression that Shane screwed everyone over. Since he thought those were C&Ds, he didn't know those were retraction letters. Retraction Letters/Texas Mitigation letters require you to remove defamatory content, if not, exemplary damages incur.

When the letters were first sent out, I'm guessing Shane specifically told MoRon and Marchi to ignore them, since the general understanding was that they held no power, just intention.

However, this could have been a misunderstanding, because they are stupid. This could explain why MoRon and Marchi continued to tweet and defame Vic until they finally obtained Casey as legal counsel (although that did not stop Ron).
This could also explain why Casey specifically mentioned it and why Johnson (Marchi's attorney) mentioned it (exemplary damages), because they did not retract the defamatory content in time.

Shane, you idiot, you blew it. :story: 🤡

It's the latter. To my knowledge he has never addressed anything I've posted here or said on Hero Hei's streams, even to deflect. You are right, embarrassing.

Perhaps he's confused, wondering who I am and what I know. I mean more confused than his usual.
