People seem to give this Carlos guy credit for triggering this new hate speech crackdown from Youtube. This seems pretty unlikely. Youtube obviously uses more than a week to decide on and implement things like this.

Either way I guess people found the target to divert their anger at. And Carlos thinking he's so powerful he made Youtube change their policies cries for more. The irony is that the only people seemingly gaining from this is Carlos and Crowder themselves. Especially the latter who can pretty directly monetize this attention by selling his subscription cups.

This isnt that bad. Youtube creators are a problem on both sides and need to be dealt with. All they do is pander to their audience to make a profit through crowd funding and other means. The downside is that their followers start to see their shit posting videos as a new form of philosophical thought and take it too seriously. Actual conservatism and communism may differ on economical plans but both wouldnt put up with the level of degeneracy that youtubers promote for free speech reasons. These new crack downs will hopefully have fans on both sides leaving these parasites and learning classical political literature from the actual source material and not through some merchants filter. Its still a political struggle but when you show up on the political stage equipped like a Carl Benjamin you and your dumb ass movement will get BTFO. Skeptics, furfags, right and left wing youtubers etc, have to all go.

All I have to say is that people should realize that this is the major flaw of trying to make a living off of Youtube. They're getting fucked over by a mostly undeveloped corporate subsection of Google that isn't really that developed and doesn't really have the consistency of what they could do. They get suckered in by the philosophy that "this is the dream" or "this is the easy way to make money" and then you get people scammed over by the whimsy of this through undeveloped companies (like Defy Media) that takes these fools for saps.

All I'm saying is that Youtubers should recognize that Youtube's unorganized corporate platform is not a viable way to live by any standards and that they should just find a job. Go get a normal job or try to create a business on your own, because even though Youtube can help get your brand out there, it is much safer to use other sources of social media or just staying away from social media altogether to get rich quick.

It's been pointed out elsewhere but Youtube isn't profitable and never has been. This isn't a financially-motivated effort. This sort of thing will only be targeted one way because it aligns with the company's own politics -- it's an excuse to silence conservatives and nothing more. It's just a hilarious coincidence that Youtube's devs suck shit through straws and rigged their algorithms wrong so this latest ban wave is also ensnaring "innocent" liberals.

This kind of move is already unprofitable. It has obvious negative effects both on Youtube and in the world at large -- more people are being hit by censorship, more people are noticing it happening, and more people are moving quietly to the right because of it -- but Youtube/Google doesn't care because by god they're on "the right side of history" and they think they can (and should) steer public discourse in favor of their politics.

- does traditional media outlets provide free and fair communication to all political view points ? Nope, they filter and occult to their advantage.

You can't take the media as a sperate entity from the political class, in many countries either they works togueter or have overlap of interest or goals.
