These brainlets still think this case is going to be won in twitter court, they spent weeks dragging Vic's name through the mud online and people still rallied to him. Then they start catching wind that cons might start inviting him back and tried to fuck with that plan too which eventually fell through and what did they do? Took it to twitter to rally the dangerhair and soy hordes to them, only it failed and their little counter programming looked likea ghost town compared to Vic's line. Now that they're not getting their way legally they've again taken to twitter, this time instead of "it happened to me!" or "kamehacon invites rapists!" it's "look at this piece of shit quote, now listen to these lawyers who gawk at Dominque on twitter tell you that Vic's lawsuit is cancelled!".
Yeah, we've been speculating for months that the Casey wanted the TCPA motion to be filed before MoRon's deposition so that the defendants had more time to take Vic's deposition out of context and continue to defame him. It very much looks like, since that plan failed, they're trying to do the same thing before their depositions come out, with someone (likely Casey) getting a few lawyer buddies to weigh in on that one specific tweet that Ron leaked to Shane so as to give a proper veneer of respectability to their baseless claims.
(Incidentally, six months ago I would not have understood half that paragraph. This case, I'm telling you...)
We already know SJWs take whatever cherry-picked evidence they can to support their narrative and throw away the rest. This is just them doing the exact same thing, ignoring that there's hard proof of Ron's TI and over 400 tweets of his defamation alone, because there's one specific tweet that they can mock and so Vic's totally going to lose you guys.
The core crew of #kickvic people will never, ever believe that he's innocent - they have their narrative, and nothing, not apologies and confessions from people like Jamie and Monica, not a guilty verdict, not the fact that their current strongest evidence is now one out-of-context tweet out of 400+ and a 'my friend loved Vic's hugging her and still has that photo, but it made me uncomfortable so he must be a rapist pedophile' will change that. The most likely outcome is that MoRon, Marchi and Funimation will lose or settle, but they'll just blame that on Texas and unfair justice system REEEEEE (while they would find Vic losing a complete validation of how the law works). Any apologies that would be required as part of a settlement will just be judged as coerced speech, even though that's technically against the law in Texas, because when have legal facts ever mattered to them.
There's ample evidence on Twitter that these accusations will follow him from a very small but very vocal group of people on social media who have their truth and won't ever change their minds or shut up about it. Which is annoying as hell, but also proof of permanent damage by these accusations, and even gives a sliver of hope that at least a couple of these vacuous keyboard warriors will hear from Ty and the Amazons to silence their continued lies.
And I'd say the 'get lawyers to attack the case' gambit failed for all but that hardcore group, because anyone passingly familiar with the case will notice that Nick was more than happy to invite them to talk about the case, and their response was unanimously to shut up and not follow through. Which suggests that favours for friends in attacking the proceedings only go so far as a few tweets, not any actual discussion with someone willing to hear them out but also much more knowledgeable about the laws involved and the case itself. I always trust more the side that welcomes discussion and dissent rather than the one that shuts it down when things aren't going their way.
