Somebody told me Warwick Davis is threatening to sue 4chan, here's my shitty puns about it

Sure is a sticky wicket

Gookmoot is pretty clever though, might have a good defense, then ewok away a free man

Gonna take them to small claims court

If he wins 4chan Willow a lot

Just read the /v/ thread of literally 90% western games from the last 10 years, the sheer volume a-loggy autistic screeching and ragebaiting will lower your IQ

I'm surprised some of you actually still like 4chan. It's changed too much for me since when I joined. The entire community is completely difference since Gamergate and elections. Feels like most oc is gone. If you like it now then why?

I joined in 2008 on /b/ and then /v/. A lot has changed in a decade.

Yeah, it has changed a lot. Having said that every now and then there are tiny glimmers of how it used to be - much like an abusive lover - and it is enough to keep me around, or at least checking in every time there is some happening.

This is actually exactly how I feel. How did the userbase get so fucking stupid? They were never incredibly smart but holy shit at least we had diamonds in the rough. Like Haramburger's post blows my mind. I would expect the users in the past would tell anyone to fuck off with their stupid transparent propaganda but now rants like that are replied to with "based".

My real question is this: when was it ever good? I mean, truly worth saying you were proud to browse there every now & then, regardless of what it was??

The joke was that it was never good. But I don't think I was ever completely serious about that joke back when I had joined. You had some legitimately intelligent or creative users who would create OC and laughs. Old /v/ got me into some games I would have never really thought about like original Deus Ex or STALKER. Even the trolls were more creative because the users on the board wouldn't fall for every little fucking troll. Old /v/ and 4chan was shit with hidden diamonds in it. New /v/ and 4chan is just shit.

I still browse it when I've run out of other things to read, but I haven't found anything funny or interesting on it in awhile. Some of the best posts I've ever seen online originate from there, so like a delirious Spanish explorer I keep searching for that lost city of gold.

You keep saying "joined" and it makes me want to hurt you.

They are suffering what almost every early 2000s forum/imageboard has suffered. The teens are now faggot millennials in their 30s. The 20-somethings are approaching 40 and have lives. The Gen-Xers were fucking old and gay when the shithole opened, never mind what they've become. The replacements for the oldfags are of dubious quality. And ownership has changed, meaning the main force behind the site's original voice is gone.

4chan either adapts and develops a new voice that attracts funny/interesting people or it continues its merry way onto becoming the unwashed urinal of the internet.
