Its also why they jumped on the Douchette (and the other lawyers) train so fast, he's the only one presenting anything resembling an argument based on law. This is just a moment of false relief though. They'll know true fear soon enough.
One of the major reasons the SJWs were absolutely desperate for GamerGate to declare leaders, to the point that "I'm the Leader of GamerGate" was an early in joke, was because leaders would allow them to tar, feather, isolate, destroy, and then
tie everyone else in the movement to their smear jobs. Their attacks on Nick isn't just revenge, but a desperate attempt to make him persona non grata and, through him, every single person who ever cites him, watches him, follows him, goes on his show, et cetera -- including Vic, Ty Beard and BHBH.
It's the inverse of how they all pretend the ADL or SPLC or HopeNotHate or what have you are so credible, so virtuous, so awesome, so wise, such crusaders for social justice... so that they can all cite them and borrow the shared respectability. It's WAY easier than trying to puff up every tidybowl haired cunt or male feminist trying to worm their way into companies or sneak around emailing payment processors to deplatform their -- as in, the party as a whole -- enemies.
How do you counter this? No idea. These Neo-Marxist types are pros at identifying a weakness in a culture or institution and hammering at it until things start to crack apart, and this (combined with payment processor targeting) is a big, big fucking crack.
But if the Right wants to start, they need to start creating their own versions of the SPLC and other such groups, and everyone, from the lowest "LUL SARGOY THE FGGT, trying to actually do something instead of just shitposting, what a stupid quarternigger" retard on 8ch to idiots like the Ben Shapiros of the world need to recognize a respectability bunker for what it is. The problem is... one thing I've noticed with the right is that if ANYONE gets ahead of the others, the long knives come out and everyone else tries to destroy the poor sonofabitch who gets ahead of the pack.
