I'm a pretty casual watcher of Jim's content, but his more well-defined videos/series (Deviants/Tumblrisms/Internet Insanity) blow his streams out of the water. I'm not sure if Jim knows this, but he puts a lot of emotional inflection in his pronunciation and cadence when he speaks. It's really obvious when he's not invested in speaking about something and is making a video because he maybe feels he 'has to comment' on a subject. If Jim finds the topic of the stream mediocre, he gives a mediocre performance. When the stream changes topic to something he finds more interesting, he seems more genuine in his responses.

In the stream below he begins with commenting on cucks/open relationships, but when it changes over to nerd speed dating (at 38:48 ) he's clearly having more fun and interacting with chat.

I don't think Jim is afraid I think Jim is lazy and there's no real upside to him making videos. He fires up a stream and makes $200+ before he utters a word. He makes a video it makes him nothing because it will be demonetized instantly and it might catch him bullshit copyright strikes from the target.

I suspect Jim is playing it safe to keep the piggies paying and he probably doesn't want to get the KF YT channel treatment.

Eh, I feel like if they had put any Asian woman to present a game, it’d have the same lonely incel degenerates drawing rule34 porn of her. And all of the drawings ,no matter who it was of, would probably all look the same. it all depends on how will they use her newfound popularity. Jade became a mini celebrity from presenting AC1. even Kojimbo was smitten by her, and made some collab between Ubi and Konami because of her. And Jade was the one presented AC2, even if she wasnt the producer of the game. even when Jade hit the wall now, she was still a presenter in Stadia.
