You bring up an interesting point too about this time of year being harder for her. My guess is that the summer heat makes it even more unbearable for her to leave the house, and any extra physical exertion (even if it's just walkeeeen to the nearest tree and back) must be unthinkable.

It's also a long dry spell between Easter and Halloween, and we're coming up to the midway point where it's hardest to keep up her morale. She only has cookouts to binge on until autumn, and then she gets Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, and Easter, with their candy/general feasting/perfect excuses in fairly rapid succession.

I really enjoy the theories, except that you guys forget the fact that her mom, the one she wants to stay in the house for one month ( a whole month) with the thumb plus the dog (leaving the cats to fend for themselves at Rafe's), lives with the psycho, evil, twisted, liar aunt that she hates.
She is not going to stay under the same roof as aunt Tammie... is she?
