Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

And by drink, I mean to his salty pink eye ridden tears I ain't ever touching let alone taste.

I hope he goes serial killer just so I can look at the news and think to myself of how much more wonderful of a life I've had than him or his hivemind. Also because he looks like one.

You just know he’s gonna get his own thread in animal control. I think serial killer is giving him way too much credit and capability. This retard smells more like a zoosadist. When he makes the national news it’s going to be pantsless in an aquarium penguin exhibit.

So Marzgurl and her followers were discussing other 'problematic actors' and Travis Willingham is a potential third target down the line for them. Seems they're going after Funimation guys who had their own fanclubs back in the day. Vic has his Resembool Rangers, Todd has the Kornstars, and Travis has the Miniskirt Army.

Looking back at the mid 2000s... yep. No way in hell Travis could get away with shouting "force my club members to wear TINY MINISKIRTS" like Mustang these days. Travis might have had the right idea of quitting his gig voicing anime to going to primarily voice video games. Far less perverted degeneracy there and less likely to get in trouble.
I knew they would be going after Travis soon. Pretty sure i mentioned in this thread that he has at least one story about walking through a convention, suddenly grabbed (glomped?) by a ~14yo (IDK if the age was ever confirmed) looking girl and she started kissing him. His brain hasn't even processed WTF just happened and she's already all over him.

Edit: He's also doing the Critical Role show and thats got a huge amount of Tumblr dangerhairs, fujoshi, perverted degenerates, etc following it. So he better be watching his arse.
I just want to point out that we're slowly drawing Ty into the black hole of weebdom.
I find it kinda surprising that it took this long for Ty to receive something Kancolle.

And of course, Luci Christian is KickVic (she participated in #BeThere with other KickVic speds and liked Monica's "confession" post against Vic), so I can only imagine how she'd throw Travis under the bus.
I'll be honest, I don't take appearing in that video and/or liking tweets to mean much. Another person in the BeThere video was John Swasey, who's apparently very conservative and not given to alarmism. As far as I know Brittany Karbowski, also in the video, hasn't commented on the case, either.

She's literally a soccer mom. She has better things to do than melt down over Vic.

I imagine if Vic wins there's going to be a lot of crocodile tears and "apologies" from "fence sitting" co workers who threw him under the bus.

If Vic didn't love his fans I wouldn't blame him for going full scorched earth on this Industry of overgrown teenagers.

You just know he's got stories on all these speds.

Honestly it'd be really interesting to see what exactly the fallout from that would be. On the one hand, 95% of Critical Role's fanbase are exactly the Tumblr exceptionals that would eat up what MoRonica and Marzgurl are trying to feed everyone. On the other hand, they are PSYCHOTICALLY obsessive and defensive of the Critical Role cast. To the point they've had intense subReddit meltdowns over people saying even the smallest negative thing about the show or the cast's performance.

And I registered here after lurking just to say that. This whole drama has been on the periphery of the Critical Role cast's spheres and if it were to actually begin to involve them, the response could be mind-boggling. These guys just raked in 12 million dollars from their fans. Watching those same fans try to process this kind of mess is the stuff TV movies are made of.

It'd be interesting if it happened to a main cast member. Pretty sure they haven't said anything while the bus has ran over two 'friends' that they all knew i.e Vic and Chris Hardwick. Chris was cleared and it's pretty obvious that his ex was trying to get revenge, but he's also been unpersoned from the show and community. Couldn't imagine the rage storm if he came back...

Matt Mercer is a saint of a human being. But that's also his failing too. His, and thus the show's, unflinching support of Chloe Dykstra over Hardwick (WHO GUESTED ON THE DAMN SHOW) has got to be the most disappointing fallout from his inability to allow critical thinking to overpower his gut reactive empathy.

Apparently Liam O'Brien is also an "orange man bad" activist judging from his tweets and replies.

They all are, but him and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn are the loudest and most frequent. Sam probably comes in right after them.

Honestly outside of the show itself, that whole sphere is wrapped up in some insane exceptionalism. The cast get passes by being entertaining as fuck and generally good nice charismatic people. But they have some tendencies, and boy howdy do they encourage those tendencies in their frothing-at-the-mouth Tumblrite fanbase.

Still, Travis and Laura have a young child at home. No matter the politics or whatever the idea of some exceptional person like Marzgirl doing this to someone who has a young child at home makes me furious. I could see Travis just apologizing and taking it though, which would be the wrong move. If he fought it, he might have even more support then Vic. Him and Laura, as well as the others in critical role touch a lot of fan bases, if that support could be rallied it would be interesting.

Just hope they don't go after him.

I have high hopes that Travis, Laura and their child will be doing anything they can to be safe from KickVic.

They're trying to frame KF and blaming it on Nick to get him in trouble with the BAR.

I'm pretty sure the Minnesota Bar is very acquainted with Nick and his show from the sheer amount of obscure and weird bar complaints he's gotten. They'll probably just glance through it for 5 minutes then do nothing to Nick.

Well something you have to realize is that they blocked out thousands and thousands of people including neutrals. Even if they try to strike, it won't have nearly as much effect considering how miserably the Vic one (which they almost won) backfired and quite a bit of the community is aware and it's growing day by day. As long as they fight, they'll be fine.

In the ANN forum, Penguin's still being a bitch, someone thinks Nick is Vic's lawyer, and someone else thinks Vic groveling would have let them salvage his career. Top kek.

Just wanna point out that he averages something like a post and a quarter per day on that forum for the past 15 years. Does this guy do anything aside from rage into the void about anime?
