Lindsay was briefly interviewed for this Contrapoints blowfile https://www.latimes.com/entertainme...trapoints-cultural-divide-20190612-story.html
la Times said:Wynn’s ideas are layered in empathy, says Lindsay Ellis, a media and film critic with 645,000 YouTube subscribers. She met Wynn after donating to ContraPoints’ Patreon crowdfunding page. She was impressed that Wynn realized that shaming people might feel righteous but doesn’t change minds, especially if you’re trying to alter the thinking of right-wing and other extremists groups.
“Natalie speaks their language,” Ellis says. “That’s something a lot of leftists can’t do. They can’t reach these borderline edgelord communities because they don’t speak the language of memes or why these people tend to fall down reactionary alt-right rabbit holes. [She] has found a way to get them to reconsider their positions and in this increasingly polarized discourse is becoming like the unicorn of skills. It’s extremely rare.”
I love that she doesn't realize that "leftist" means someone on the extreme left. And it's telling that she (and other leftists) think opinions and beliefs are reached through indoctrination. They need to alter the thinking of right-wing and other extremists groups. And obviously these people are right-wing and extremists is because they saw the wrong memes and fell down alt-right rabbit holes."right-wing and other extremist groups"
Just being right-wing means that you're part of an extremist group now I guess.
" [She] has found a way to get them to reconsider their positions"
Is there any evidence that literally anyone who wasn't already a leftist watches this deranged tranny? Linking a right-wing person to one of this freakshow's videos isn't going to convince them of anything other than that they're right to be suspicious of leftists.
"The unicorn of skills. It's extremely rare". Either she doesn't know what a unicorn is, or she doesn't know what "rare" means. Regardless, talking to someone you disagree with isn't a rare skill. As a matter of fact, it's pretty fucking common. Like literally all the way up to just a few years ago, people were doing it. You know who created this environment where you can't talk to people? I'll give you a hint: They start with the letter "L", use violence to shut down speeches, pressure tech companies to censor or out right ban people, and think shaming feels righteous.
The only way leftists can convince or get people to reconsider their positions is the same way the mafia convinces and get people to reconsider their position. They sure are shit can get people to do that through discussion or reason, because every time they open their mouth, they sound like an insane person that people constantly want to distance themselves from.
