Probably been posted but while going through the "men shilled as attractive you find ugly" thread on lolcow, got reminded of the time some incel came onto the thread. Kind of shows their mindset. This guy literally ignored the threads about "ugly" guys and unconventionally attractive men we'd fuck and went straight to the one that shows hot men "not being good enough". Ignoring of course the thread basically being girls going "yeah, not a fan of the whole Chad thing, wonder why it keeps getting pushed on us". He really went out of his way to try and confirm his world view by ignoring everything else literally in front of him.
Even when some of the girls explained everything out in plain text he just didn't get it and likely came out of it going "yup, the Stacies on lolcow aren't even attracted to the men I perceive as peak male hotness and of course, I'm the decider of what's attractive and what isn't when it comes to men". Tbh, this incel was probably a Chad looking guy looking for an excuse and reason as to why girls still weren't falling over themselves to fuck him despite him being "perfect"

These people come off as really fucking self centered when they react like that. People come in all shapes and forms and in the same way that some might not be your cup of tea, the same goes for others. I've known many women that like what would be called today "unconventional men". Hairy guys, older guys, skinny guys, fat guys... Never assume everyone is in the same fucking sexual atraction hivemind, because you will be bound to be surprised by a chick that likes hairy fat dudes or a guy that likes tomboys.
Plus, if someone says he's "perfect" he's far from it and he's either desperate or a fucking narcissist. We are just people, common shitty people with plenty of flaws and as much as we would like, we have to live with it.
I think it's more funny than anything that people like that go by assumptions. I've had a lot of females assume that i'm a virgin for being a sad fat fuck and surprise them when i tell them i managed to score with a desperate girl a long time ago.
Going by assumptions just reveals how much prejudice you have and is bound to get a lot of people pissed right off the bat. Even if you see a thousand stories about "women shags 10 guys in a weekend" you should expect that everyone is an exception to that rule unless they state otherwise. Or else, don't wonder why everybody avoids you.
And some people should show the incel community quite a singular case of a russian female who is ugly as sin and is so desperate to find a partner she agrees to sleep in separate bedrooms and pretend she doesn't know you if you cross paths with her.

I understand when people use it in their teens because sex is the new hit and only the most popular get laid. After high school, i would say it capitalizes in the fear of maladjustment or social outcasting that some guys have. The fear that you might be so fucked up that no one would let you have pee pee friction pleasure and by extent, be with you. That or the fact that reminds them that no one gives them the time of the day and they aren't popular. It's quite fucking irrational to use "virgin" as an insult for guys while usually if a woman is virgin is seen as a virtue. It's one of those idiotic differences that no one pays too much attention to but they are there. Overall, i think it's mostly about insecurity more than anything.
Scoring isn't much better because you just had sex with someone and that's it. You felt good for a few minutes and that is all there is to say. The thing is that Incels think that getting laid is some sort of miraculous cure to all their problems in their life (in the same way some think getting a gf would do the same) when in reality they will be the same but brag about the fact they had sex. Wanting a long lasting relationship with a woman is what they truly want, but they boil it down to a "fuck her" mentality which makes everything worse. If you need sex, there are plenty of women out there that will spread their legs for a price. But if you want to make a deep bond with someone of the opposite sex you will have to work for it a lot.

In my experience, it's more of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" sort of thing. Especially since it gets to the point of ridiculousness that a girl can't even look at a guy otherwise she's "sullied" yet guys are free to do whatever without scorn. But if you keep to yourself, you risk ridicule same as what guys get or ridiculed by your peers for being a prude or being behind the times or whatever. You can't win.
And that's the problem with a lot of incels. They shouldn't let that insecurity get to them. No-one should.

It is only seen as virtuous for a woman to be a virgin up to a certain age, then it gets viewed as sad. Men just get to the "sad" part faster.
It all boils down to the fact that no one wants to be a complete social reject. Women don't want to ever be the crazy cat lady and men don't want to be the loser nerd that never gets laid.

Of course they shouldn't and no one should fall to insecurity or societal pressures. Another thing that might be related to their desire to get laid is yearning of success. Success may be achieved in many ways, be it with money, experience and to men, getting laid a lot. Fucking a lot of women is a sign of success for many guys even if makes no fucking sense to admire womanizers for treating women like holes, but whatever floats their boat.
Insecurity might be the main reason for their fixation and i kinda understand why because i was there a long time ago, even if men have it easier to bear with being an outcast than women. But overall, it's a self fulfilling prophecy that they are stuck in and they keep feeding each other by thinking they are ugly, undesirable and horrible people. It's normal to be concerned with wanting to be a better person, but being obsessed with it it's horrible and will only lead you to sadness.
And interesting what you said about women. I could see it mostly in high school but i didn't thought it was so prevalent. We all have our struggles even if they seem nonsensical.

The primary difference is the cause -
- In Japan, the male population was ravaged by WW2, and they had a generation of single mothers raising sons, who had no male role models.
- In the west, feminists (the Marxist and intersectionalist ones in particular) have actively pushed for the dissolution of nuclear family, engaged in active vilification of the entirety of masculinity, and either ignoring or exacerbating the elimination of fathers from their childrens' lives.
The Japanese might still recover, although it's definitely debatable that they will; if the feminists in question keep pushing their bullshit, the west won't recover.

In my experience growing up, Incels and the foreveralone types where always stone sober. A large part of entering the social circle (at least where I grew up) WAS smonking weed/smiggarettes/drinking. It's definitely a shitty circle to enter, and most Incels would agree with that judging by their opinions on drugs, "fuck these stoner chads man druggies etc." And Incels voluntarily chose to not join that. It may be late to join for many, since weed isn't really cool after you're 25, but they still can go to a scummy bar where they wont get judged very hard by the local drunks. Or they can talk with the smokers outside for a while.
A large part of why I still think that a smoker Incel would do better is because all forms of narcotics lower your inhibitions, and an Incels main inhibition is social interaction.
This and furthermore; being forced to go out to drink/smoke/buydrugs/whatever FORCES interaction. Especially if you're on neetbucks, if you want that extra narcotic cashflow, you'll need a job probably, and you'll need a hookup probably. Right there is already two social spaces you're FORCED to enter

I've been through this drug debate since I've been forced in group therapy, where you'll deal with a lot of druggies. They're all socially skilled despite completely fucking up their lives, and they're all valued more than the quiet loser. This is why group therapy is terrible for incels. They'll either feel more alienated or they'll get into drugs and make their situation worse.
