Meh, where I live oil changes are loss leaders for garages so that they can diagnose worn out parts and make their real money since your car is in the garage anyway.

If oil changes in Renton are only $15-$20 like they are here, I can't blame DSP for not wanting to do them himself.
No DSP needs the PREMIUM, high milage oil at the BEST garage it town. He pays BIG money to have them call him, email him, text him, and send him a PSN message to remind him that it's time to get his oil changed. Not like the stupid book smart nudnik BMW dealers, who think it's up to the CUSTOMER to remember when it's time to change his oil. Ack ack ack, fuckin IDIOTS, dood!

getting rid of the BMW? good financial decision. Buying a brand new car in its place just so your soul maid can drive it? not so much, imo. He should have just got himself a bus pass.

As I recall the reason he gave for Kat needing the car and not being able to use public transport to go to and from work was: Public transport in Washington is completely unreliable and the buses are so old that they're constantly breaking down in the middle of the roads all over the place. Phil is living in a Mad Max wasteland.. I guess this is the landscape he sees on his day off, bus graveyards on the way to pick up foodstuffs and paying bills. He also knows they never run on schedule (so just like everywhere else in the world then) despite the fact he's never used a bus service since moving there.

He must have heard stories from the myriad social acquaintances he has made. I would have safety concerns over using public transportation in Seattle as their homeless problem seems to be getting out of hand, although like Phil I don't have any first hand knowledge of the greater Seattle area.

lol I actually watched this a while back and couldn't help but imagine Phil in the post-sacking of wakhando arc standing in the middle of a shopping area with his pants around his ankles as he got ready before a jerry rigged shopping cart chillstream setup stealing electricity out of the side of a Walgreens store. Too optimistic I know.

Aaah, the miraculous planet we inhabit, filled with beautiful secrets and wonders.

A vast ocean and deep jungles, home of thousands of species we haven't even discovered.

The moon, largest body next to us, a small planet orbiting our fragile world, keeping the axis of Earth stable, has enough speed to not crash down on us. Space right in front of our eyes.

Due to the evolution of life, smallest creatures developed new traits over millionths and millionths of years, using the strangest methods, so animals of all kinds, including us humans and plants, share the same ancestors. Or at least the same type, very basic building blocks of life.

Once we shared the planet with other human like creatures. But because they couldn't adapt only we survived as a species. All of us, no matter where you life, no matter your skin color or language, is the result of their success. We are one species, all of us.

Mankind developed in very short time technologies which nobody else than experts can understand because those mechanisms are quite complex. We formed the planet in just some thousands of years with our incredible intellect, and now we and all of nature suffer from the consequences of our industrialization.

All of us are created from star dust. We are made of elements which can only be formed in stars. Even some rare elements in small quantities, created in supernovae.

We are lucky to experience a time when the galaxies are still visible and space beautiful. In many billionth of years the Dark Energy which opens the rifts between galaxies will have them accelerated so fast from each other that their light won't reach us. So in this time the mankind won't even know that there is more than just the Milky Way (or Milkdromeda, the fusion with Andromeda).

Everything is made of tiny particles, energy values, a world where our logic does not apply. The Planck world, if you think you understood it, you have in fact not. But we are still using those properties for our daily inventions.

Gravity, the weakest force of all, keeps us on the ground. On the planet which was created by gravity. Masses attract masses as they bend space. Without this strange phenomenon we wouldn't have a universe to speak of. We stand here because we are trapped in a weak gravity well, which is also trapped in the well of the sun, which is inside the well of a single big Black Hole in the centre of our galaxy.

Space and time is quite different than intuition tells us, thanks to Albert Einstein we know this. Time is bound to space, and time is relative to a spectator. The flow of time changes in a gravity well and at very high speeds. In fact the core of our planet is 2,5 years younger than the surface (for as much as I can remember).

The beauty of nature, formed through processes in an unfathomable timeframe. From the highest mountains to the deepest and biggest ravine, everyone can see, experience and enjoy them. A fascinating world.

Listening to music someone made 25 years ago.

How boring must his life be that he thinks that listening to video game music made 25 years ago is funny or interesting enough to tweet about it,and he makes Kat listen to it aswell,im sure she doesnt care. "Life is a beatiful thing" ,listening to old video game music is what defeated his existential ennui? Thats pathetic.

Are you insinuating that by going out and buying a new car DSP is living beyond his means? When will you dirty detractors learn? It's not that DSP cant afford his current lifestyle, he just cant afford his bills! If he wasn't living within his means he wouldn't be able to get the item he wanted in the first place, now would he? its just paying for it that he struggles with. He just needs his fans to step up more, that's all.

Ask Phil if he's broke and he'll get mad about it. People called him out on it before, asking why he shops at places like Trader Joe's instead of Walmart if he has no money. He's not "broke", when did he ever say that? Yes he has bills and a lot of debt but that doesn't mean he's "broke".

phil himself is such a non-person, a boring entity, an almost nothing that any stimulus that doesn't immediately annoy him becomes the greatest thing (and by greatest thing, i mean... okay)
because aside from himself, he cares about nothing else
gin is great because it makes HIM feel good
if something makes others feel good but not him, it's shit
WHY WOULD BE EXCITED ABOUT THIS DOOD?! ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF!!!!!
outside of his streams, he just exists, barely enough to be a person
like i've said before, his life is only for getting and spending money
in his perfect life, he would wake up, find his bank account is bursting to the seams, he'd go out and spend a ton of it, then go back to sleep.
he only watches Tv and movies because the alternative is that the little voices in his head get to talk
and he don't want that
physically drown them out with gin, and audibly drown them with movies and wrasslin'

Imagine Kat having to tell her co-workers about this? "Yeah so last night we were listening to old final fantasy music on spotify......."

Bring your wife to a Dear Friends or Distant Worlds concert Phil; then maybe I'll be impressed. Put on some nice slacks, a collared shirt of some sort, and go out and enjoy the music via a live concert. It's far better than you think. You shut-in fuck.
