In the leaked Discord conversation, Emmett refuses "respect the floor" after being told to do so by Allison Crooks. He is issued a warning and told to stop. He leaves the group and is banned. While there is no date on this, we know that Jessie Pridemore joined on or shortly after February 24th. Emmett's story was published on February 25th.
I'd really like to see the whole conversation because this seems like an odd turn of events. Emmett was either just about to publish his unflattering article about Vic or he had already done so. What was it that caused such a rift that resulted in him being belligerent, telling everyone that he was "out" and then getting banned by Jamie?
Was he already in their Discord or invited in as a result of writing that piece? If the former, did they encourage him to write it or help him put it together? If the latter, were they doing something he fundamentally disagreed with?

(*cracks knuckles*) I have a bit of background knowledge of amateur writing so let me debunk a little bit of this godawful piece. I've seen more goddamn amateur romance novels than I care to admit (which is like 4 but still...) so let's get started:
I watched him grab her by the neck and pull her hair down, pulling her backwards and leaning in close. He hissed into her ear like a cartoon snake. She was not into it. A little bit of awkward...

First paragraph is exactly how a female romance writer starts out their very first piece. It's not informative, it's not effective, and quite honestly it's boring but amateur writing sites pat people's asses for writing stuff like that. I'm already one paragraph in and I'm already regretting this. And if you're going to bloody go that route make it something more like
He slowly moved his fingers across my barren chest. I knew it was wrong, but I didn't care. That tingle made my heart move faster and faster exciting me to see what his next move may be. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to fry my brain for letting this cross my head.
OH MY GOD WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP USING I SO MUCH! YOU DON'T NEED TO START IT FOR EVERY GODDAMN SENTENCE! I swear this tumblr blog is going to be the death of me. Also the language is so dull I'd rather watch paint dry than read this. If this is the average journalist, no wonder why they have to rely on clickbait. Also, why the hell would you mention brushing your teeth. Are you implying people don't usually brush their teeth in the morning? I hope he's not proud of this as I feel insulted this exists.
"I barely talk to the guy so we're acquaintances at best". And you assure you know Vic well enough to determine his behavior. Yes, we all know he's done some "questionable" things like kissing people on the cheek. It's called culture differences, you moron. You know what, I have a pretty good idea so I'm just going to skim it. So something I did see to note is this:
I'm starting to think Ty might want to consider a subpoena of Facebook users. That's a very unusual detail to include in some I'm not sure if I should call this an article or fan fiction. Imagine if you were backtalking someone for years and had thousands of messages about him telling certain people. It's almost like you could have a motive.

This did not age well.
Sounds like he wrote this in an hour and checked over for typos and spelling errors. It definitely was within a day's time period as not much thought was put into it and it lacks to skill. My guess it was a date gone wrong and maybe Vic said or did something to make her uncomfortable and she exaggerated the truth to a point where it became the truth in her head whoever the girl is. It could've been something stupid like bumping the table and getting wine spilled on her.
tl;dr It was most likely written and posted on February 25th after all that discord stuff went down as it went through a very light edit if even that.
