Yeah, how dare Vic refer to a complete stranger that he'd never met before as a friend. All Nick did was extended a hand to a dead and buried man at his lowest point. Nick only told him to seek legal council, 180'd all social media bullshit by merely questioning the narrative and exposing his detractors for the frauds they are, organized a $175k+ legal war chest and got him (re)invited to conventions.

Edit: and despite his age and popularity from earlier dubs such as FMA and Ouran, this was poised to be his biggest year yet. With the release of DBZ Super Broly reaching the 3rd? highest anime take ever at $113mil and Vic playing the antagonist, he was positioned to make an absolute killing over the next few years.

Used your Smartphone to conduct a google search with the common prompt "Okay Google?". Saved for an eternity. If they used any google account for ANYTHING they did that's there forever

I just love how fucking disingenuous this shitbag is, Nick’s entire relationship and history of contact with Vic has occurred in the public eye. They first “met” when Nick invited him on his show to tell his story. Nick found Vic extremely compelling, and began investigating. From there he initiated the GFM. Either this con or KC would be the first time they ever met face to face.

Whereas Shane talked his way onto Nicks show by claiming along history of dealings with Vic. Being old friends/colleagues, as Shane, as a big manager of multiple cons!, could help “rehabilitate” his old friend. It later became clear that Vic had no idea who Shame was, had no contact or communication with Shane beyond a perfunctory and wholly anonymous administrative encounter with Shame at A-Con one year, when Shame was the office boy who delivered the check.

How embarrassing!

Do these people not understand that one can be friends with someone they have no met in person, or to be considered a friend? Nick's been upfront and obvious about talking with Vic to introduce him to Ty. How these idiots can't wrap their heads around that I can't understand.

Maybe because when Shane calls someone a friend they instantly want to hang themselves?

Since they're all underhanded, back-stabbing weasels, I doubt they have much conception of what a friend is at all. The closest translation into their language might be "person with whom I am acquainted and haven't betrayed or thrown under the bus yet."

And DBS is coming back, and Broly is Canon in this universe now, and he's not dead. Broly was an actual character this time and he will potentially be in the new stories.
