A bit of a late reply to this, but this is becoming more and more common in Ontario universities. Some job postings will say the above, or that they "prefer" women and minorities applying to the position. I've also seen some that require a diversity survey be completed when applying.The only "black people" that could possibly have been at Chernobyl would have been anyone that got cooked.

I refuse to give money to anyone, let alone Nigs, Peyutes, and Pakis, and I especially don't gie anyone money unless I'm getting something in return.

Apparently, Section 14 of the Ontario Human Rights Code permits open discrimination, in the name of representation.
I would have thought that completely contradicts the spirit of the Human Rights Code, but it apparently doesn't.

Apparently, if you're "under-represented", it's 100% okay to discriminate against white people, or anyone that's more represented, as far as I can tell from reading the above.
I like how the Western University one says "self-identify" as a woman or indigenous person. There used to be a saying in research that goes "Publish or Perish" but these days it's looking more like "Get trooned out or be tuned out"
