He would be well within his right to consider those 'gifts'. His choice to use those gifts later for his self-employed sole proprietorship is another issue but there's nothing saying he can't just not do that if he chooses to either, so he has plausible tax deniability there.

It's been brought up before (@SoapQueen1, @marlintan), but my understanding is that if the "gift" is used for his business, it's taxable. And since he doesn't even play games off-stream any more (as he has stated multiple times on camera), he doesn't really have any deniability about what the "gift" was for.

Isn't it already highly likely he's cheating on his taxes anyways? That whole thing about declaring one of the spare rooms "Kat's Office" as a tax write-off? Though he hasn't said that's what he does, calling it her office is shady. His "office" doesn't legally count as a home office unless it's 20% of his house,
If your office space takes up 20% of the house, you can deduct 20% of your bills for utilities, homeowners insurance, homeowners association fees, security, and general repairs and maintenance. Mortgage interest and property taxes are deductible expenses if you qualify for home office deductions.
...and nothing short of an investigation and audit by the IRS would reveal this.

Oh my...

This playthrough of Crash Team Racing might deliver some nice gold dust. He's on his third retry of the very first race against AI, not understanding the drifting mechanic and complaining about "random" things that hit him.

-edit- He finally finished first on the sixth try with a lot of "HUH!?"s and "Nothing I could do!"s.

is he playing the story mode or whatever it has?
Yes, he's doing the complete story/AI mode first. As always, his crippling phobia of losing against online opponents in cartoony racing games got the better of him.

His old man reflexes think it's random because he can't react to what is on screen in time. Keep in mind it's a game that was primarily aimed at children yet once again we see him struggling to play games kids a quarter of his age should play fine.

The reviews have said the Adventure Mode for Crash is not at all kind with some seriously unfair rubberbanding (on top of expertly difficult racing and courses). There will definitely be anger if he completes this.

It's wild how this game is clearly aimed for the younger audience yet the guy in his mid-thirties is hopping up and down on his sofa complaining the game is cheating him

Meh. This game is clearly designed for older fans who played the original over 20 years ago.

A face only a horse can love, peep the hairline too.

I stole this from DSP archives.
He complains about crashing into "a wall you cant see",and by a wall you cant see he referrs to a wall you can clearly see.

Another classic case of DSP's blindness but he refuses to wear glasses because he's insanely vain. Does he see what he looks like? The glasses would be an improvement.

He makes the determination clear back here when he fires the bomb straight at it that there's no wall in front of him to run into. It's clearly in view and unobstructed, and visible in a tiny image at low resolution.

I don't think it's just the glasses that are the problem.

The game is pretty faithful. The only rubberbanding is with the Boss 1v1 AI but otherwise the game doesn't include rubberbanding (or at least egregious enough to notice).

The big difference is the speed is a bit higher than 150cc mario kart which is an adjustment and the importance of full drift boosting.

Also there's no 'catch up' items if you fall behind (or player rubber banding) so if you fall behind you're fucked.

He's just a faggot who won't take responsibility for anything.

He's currently on his 22nd try to beat a single track, I'm not even kidding. The stream has turned into a very negative and toxic event.

-edit- 23rd 24th 25th 26th 27th. HE BEAT IT! Only took him 27 tries in about one hour.

Crash Team Racing rage chat.png

Oh, and instead of complaining and whining like a literal child while driving, he's now constantly pausing the game to rage. Such quality content.

And it's quite the slow stream today, but I'm sure that doesn't affect his mood or anything. I mean, he's no cash junkie or something, right?

is this harder than the original?
because even when i was a kid, i found the game hard but not super hard
i think the only time i needed more than 10 tries for something was the final boss

No idea, never played either of the games. But if you """drive"""" like DSP, any racing game is hard. He's literally bouncing all over the track, constantly hitting shit left and right, losing speed. It's all the game's fault, though, nothing he could do.

I have a feeling he's staring at the character. Similar to how he stares at the crosshair in CoD. It would explain the random "wuut where is it?" when a game doesn't put a glowing outline around items. If he's only looking at the crosshair/character he won't see anything to the sides of the screen.

You're probably right, his dead glare is pretty much fixed in place until he either runs into something or looks at chat.

Someone also just cheered about Phil wearing glasses, and he of course said "No, I've never worn glasses." Which is just such a lazy lie I won't even look for the photo evidence that he was prescribed some.

Eh fuck it, I just googled and found a video with Rambo saying Phil's eyesight is so bad he has on his drivers license that he needs glasses to drive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27W_4S0zEeM

Maybe Phil is so uninterested in the outside world because he literally can't see anything past the walls of his condo.
