Probably because they know they're fucked, now that we know Rial has two versions of the incident she's talking about.

It's interesting. Both La Choy and Rial seem to say one thing on Twitter, and an entirely different thing on legal documentation. Really activates the almonds a little.

What are the odds that there is a third version told to the Funimation investigation and then a fourth version during depositions? 1:1?

I'm calling it now - that story is going to be suspiciously absent from the Funimation/Sony investigation.
She posted that bullshit/had it published in the i09 article *after* Michelle from Twitter came out with her story. Monica copied off of her. Same with the hair-pulling. She has NO original story.

Edit: Except for the jellybean story.

So when she was sharing this dumb jellybean story in the "investigation," did she also say he'd done even worse hundreds of times in public at conventions? Or is this a new invention?

If what Vic says is the truth - he was only questioned about three allegations: the kiss, the alleged inappropriate interaction between two fans at a convention (that may have lived with Toye/Rial at one point), and the Jellybean story.

Only the kiss happened on Funimation property/time, so they can't really use the excuse "well, this other stuff didn't happen on Funi property/time"

Two options I see there: 1) These allegations didn't pop up until after the investigation was concluded or 2) they weren't properly investigated (getting Vic's side of the story/verifying his whereabouts or whatever)

So they get Vic's side of some dumb story about a jellybean but those hundreds of rapes, nothing? Not a single question?

Yeah you're right. I keep forgetting that Rials hotel story, and all of the hair pulling stories weren't apparently investigated... She's only claiming an attempted rape, you'd think that should be investigated first before any jellybean nonsense..

That's what it looks like. If I remember correctly, Casey was talking about the emails between Vic and Tammi Denbow - so this will be confirmed once those are entered into evidence. Sooooo ... yeah. My money's on, these stories by Rial and Marchi didn't exist until they read them online.

In her statement on Twitter, Rial claimed she came forward on Twitter partly to keep things from being swept under the rug (she started flapping her jaw after Funi leaked Vic's termination to ANN, Rooster Teeth publicly fired him, and most of the convention had already dropped him) - that's when she introduced the hair-pulling and non-consensual kiss stories. Funny enough, she left the Jellybean story out of her public statement. 🤔

A) Why didn't you take the mutually beneficial confidentiality agreement, or even attempt to negotiate it to get exactly the result you allegedly desire?

B) Did you actually parade the force of 25 100 six million 27 alleged victims, saying that they'd be willing to go to court to testify, without actually asking them beforehand whether or not they'd be willing to testify?

That would be pretty callous and shocking disregard for the wishes of the "victims." Did they think the public would never hear how they were sold down the river?

So Vic decided to sexually assault Monica in his hotel room, knowing fully that Dahlin would be along in a few minutes to interrupt and take them to dinner?

Riiiiight.

So was Casey Erick lying to the court when he said that they had these witness statements? Or was Casey Erick lying to the court when he said that the women who were coming forward all wanted their names to be public? Or was Casey Erick lying to the court when he said that suddenly now they need confidentiality because they randomly happened to find a tweet from way back on February 8 that definitely proves that they're in danger?
