Our gorl probably thinks that she is going to laah about her weight being stable-ish (when you're close to 600 lbs, 5 lbs here or there can be considered as a stable weight, I think) while losing tens of pounds, and when she reaches 560s or less, she can stop laaaheeen and start weighing in with her real weight.

That being said, I stopped thinking that Al will lose any considerable amount of weight around 150 lbs ago, so this plan will most likely won't work.
