Becky the archivist is a glorified librarian. Openly admits her degree is mostly useless and can only preserve/organize AV and Digital media. Outside of that one picture of you cleaning a console with a Q-Tip, there's little to nothing to your name. There are people who do shit on the side that have done more than you. Like that guy you have a problem with said; arcade PCB's are on their way out. Guys found ways to work around the suicide battery in CPS2 boards. It started out with guys working on the data so anyone with a couple pieces of equipment could flash the EPROM. Then they got ways so the board won't lock out play even with a dead/missing battery. And after a decade of work, they managed to reverse engineer the entire fucking system. If you have the gear and know-how and an empty CPS2 board; you can flash an entire board for any CPS2 game.

There's also the problem that the older PCB's get, the bigger of a fire hazard they can become. A lot of boards before the 90's when companies started standardizing things also mean everything was custom, and capable of being lost forever due to neglect. They need care, in safe environments. You have your shit presented like a trophy room; and while there's nothing wrong with that, you have one cleaning picture and a fuck ton of jealous tweets to your name. You haven't preserved shit, you're glorified digital librarian who inputs meta data, not an archivist.

And don't get me started on NAOMI GDROM drives, and don't be fooled by the name either. It's a fucking disk drive that attaches to the NAOMI board and loads the data from an optical disc; and requires a physical cartridge loaded with the decryption key to access. There's a lot of shit out there at risk of being lost.

Anyone with an archivist/librarian streak is usually annoyingly eager to discuss their personal passions with literally anyone; new info is always welcome, new techniques, knowledge or physical media to trade. Hell, we all probably get super excited when someone IRL mentions something we discuss on the farms.

Becky, tho, gets mad when someone wants to chat because they lack a masters degree yet somehow still know more than her dumb and lazy ass.

OMG, that is just too fucking good! It makes me wonder... was changing her name to "Yonah" partly due to her being pissed off that "Becky" was becoming part of the standard 4chan/incel "Chad and Stacy" language, then morphing into "punching up" SJW racism towards white women? It's been hilarious to watch SJW's "appropriate" that stuff from the Chancels over the past few years.

Now that she is "no longer a Becky", she can use it to her heart's content! With anybody else, I would not suspect this. But our "Basic Becky"? Sure.

Of course, the primary reason for her conversion was that she would get oppression points for being Jewish. I never bought that it was "to fit in with Jackson's family". 1) Jackson doesn't appear to give a shit about being Jewish 2) his family doesn't appear particularly observant. 3) Since when does Becky give a shit about conforming to normies and their religious beliefs? Since when would she care enough to cater to Jackson's family?

But being able to claim a "Jewish identity" with her Yonah name has the corollary benefit of being able to call OTHERS "Basic Beckies". Is Becky really that petty? Do I really need to ask?

What the fuck is she on about? I had health insurance through a university and it was literally just a normal insurance policy, but at a rate and coverage level pre-negotiated at a fixed price by the school. I also don't understand how she would need a $15k loan. Even if she were an exceptional individual and went out of network she should have hit the policy's out of pocket max WELL before that point.
