What I find more disturbing is how cookie-cut all the suicide prevention methods are. To someone that's ideating too long on the prospect of offing themselves, all the calls to seek help and/or call a hotline seem distant and blur together which makes it easier to brush aside and ignore.
Frankly the only reason suicide "prevention" even seems to work at all is the horrid nightmare your life will become if you make an attempt and have the misfortune of surviving it. I have no idea how suicide baiters can exist when regular people feeling suicidal most often get beaten by the cops, shot up on tranqs and left to drool on themselves in the corner before getting dumped on the sidewalk when their insurance runs out.
