i mean they could have already have hired the guy previously. Im pretty sure hes just now officially joining the fray.

We know Ron said he had more lawyers in tow. Most likely their strategy was to always files the TCPA (we laready know this) but have only officially brought the TCPA expert when its about to be file. If its not filed today after Vic's depo, its getting filed immediatly after Moron depo (as agreed by casey/Moronica). The deal with Ty in front of the judge was just no TCPA till MoRon are deposed.

I'm confused, didn't they essentially promise the judge NOT to file a TCPA until AFTER everyone was deposed? Has everyone been deposed yet and I missed it? Or are they just going to up and do what they told the judge they weren't going to do?
This thread goes a little fast so forgive me

Casey didn't explicitly promise the judge anything. The court cannot restrain him from doing something he's legally entitled to do - and he's legally entitled to file any time before the new deadline.

Unless of course they plan to file one on monday morning after everyone's deposition, I wonder if this guy being brought on means that they got something from Vic's deposition that they think will help with the TCPA filing.

It's a couple of weeks since they first mentioned having a third lawyer. That he's now being introduced to the court probably has more to do with the deadline for filing a TCPA approaching than anything else.

I mean they can try to file it, but I have a feeling it won't go over too well regardless of when it gets filed. Remember that these idiots were in another court case that got settled shortly after they were deposed. If I had to wager money on the outcome of that deposition I doubt it went well for them.

Unless they file ahead of their depositions (and piss off the judge), they've already tipped their hand to BHBH. I wouldn't be surprised if they ask a few questions that are specifically intended to get the kind of information or answers that would tank any TCPA that MoRonica file.

Are there any provisions in the TCPA that would award the Plaintiff fees if it's found to be baseless?

except, dipshit, there's a public court record of casey agreeing ie promising to uphold a rule 11 agreement. while its not hammered out between attorneys, the basis of it is "all parties deposed, then you can file tcpa". and the judge is operating under the assumption that casey will honor it. he doesn't? good luck explaining why he decided to break a deal he had with the court and ty and why he's still not a total shitbag.

after that it won't matter what the judge can or can't do. Casey's freebies? gone. all filings from then on better be sound, ethical, and pristinely formatted because the judge is going to do him no favors anymore and depending on how much he takes the deal-breaking personally, will absolutely toss out anything less than perfect.

People are speculating because of the appearance of a lawyer who literally specializes in filing TCPA motions. People are also assuming they're going to do it because they're complete assholes, so considering that's the most complete asshole move they could do, it would be on their level.

They might actually just wait until the depositions of the parties are complete and then do it, but the timing of this lawyer's appearance is interesting.

They would seriously have to be insanely, almost suicidally inclined to more or less piss in the face of the judge while flipping him off with both hands. That's seriously how bad a move it would be to do this.

same here. Went on Twitter to check what went on and it was literally like 4 tweets
It was a bit different for me. to do anything but check the front page, I need to make an account because twitter keeps banning my throwaways when i don't even post anything.

The question is, what wins? Sense of self preservation or their desire for pettiness?

Nick should be permabanned from Twitter for his own good.

You don't understand, they had their fingers crossed behind their backs! That means they technically weren't lying!

If Ron has his deposition, I'm wondering if his experience will cause him pull the trigger on the TCPA to prevent Monica from having to go through that? The only reason he is a party to the lawsuit is because of all the white knighting he did for his lady.
